After having success with the Shiseido wipes, I decided to invest in the cleansing oil from the same range. Is this one just as good as the wipes, let’s find out.
Packaging: The product comes in a clear green rectangular bottle with a pump. There is 230 mL of product inside, which lasted me for about 3 months.
How To Use:
Apply a small amount in the palm of your hand and gently massage onto dry skin in a circular motion. Rinse clean with lukewarm water and follow with cleanser if you want.
My Thoughts on Shiseido Tiss 2 Way Off Oil:
My bottle now is completely out and I can give you a solid idea of how it worked on me. The first thing that overwhelmingly stands out about this product is its minty scent. I am not a fan of strong scents personally and wish they didn’t add any fragrance to this product. While the wipes didn’t irritate my eyes, this one does. Consistency-wise, it is slightly thicker than a regular oil, but this does not affect the way it applies on the face. I take 2-3 pumps and spread it all over my face.
I prefer not to remove my mascara with this. I massage it into the skin for a few seconds and splash water to emulsify it. Because it is a cleansing oil, you can stop here if you want, but I personally prefer to apply a foaming cleanser right after. As for the feel on the skin after use, it does not strip my skin of moisture, but it does not leave a residue behind either. I have combination, acne-prone skin and I feel it does not affect my skin in any way.
It gets rid of the most stubborn makeup, which I really love. Having said that, it won’t work on film-type products because those require warm water to break down. Another major downside of this product is that it irritates the eyes, but as I have got used to it, the irritation has stopped.
I am not sure how sensitive skin types will react to the oil because of the fact that it is heavily scented.
Pros of Shiseido Tiss 2 Way Off Oil:

- Removes the most stubborn makeup well.
- Emulsifies the moment it hits water.
- Does not strip the skin of moisture.
- Does not leave behind any residue.
Cons of Shiseido Tiss 2 Way Off Oil:
- Overwhelming minty scent.
- Not suitable for sensitive skin types.
- Irritates the eyes.

Would I Repurchase Shiseido Tiss 2 Way Off Oil?
Even though it was a pleasant experience using this, the eye irritation and scent of the product just makes me not want to use this product. I will be going back to my Fancl Cleansing Oil.
