Hello pretties…

My mom and dad will be visiting Kuala Lumpur very soon. I wanted to know what all makeup and beauty stuff can I get from Kl. It would be of great help if you can suggest brands from the airport as my mom is not much into makeup and browsing is a task for her. Thanks in advance….

  1. Hi Rashmita,
i went to Kuala lumpur in the month of December and was very excited to shop from there.
and to my disappointment i couldnt find anything different from there. everything was too expensive as compared to India. For ex- Rayban shades which i got for 7k was selled for 14k and here tommy watches starts from 4k but same watches were for 9-10k.
There malls were like our DLF emporio. Everything was too hyped. KL have a local market named as china town which was like our sarojni market, We were so happy that atlast we are going to shop some cool clothes from there but even that market was too expensive; there we were getting duplicate products for 4k and more. There shopkeepers were even insulting Indians tourist… i felt so bad seeing that*cry* *cry*… kehte aap india se hoge, app wahi se khareedna.. aap log aise hi bargaining karte ho *haan ji* *pan*
Overall i found that it is better to shop from India(if you live here) rather then getting things from there…

    1. haww,,… aise kaise kuch b bolte h indians ko.. *shock* *pan* *pan* I will make sure nvr shop a single piece of needle from these proudy stubborn KL shopkeepers.. *pan* *pan* very bad!!

  2. Rashmita, there are MAC n kiehl’s counter in changi airport duty free shops.
Also there’s a departmental store at airport called watson’s personal care where you may find some drugstore brand cosmetics and skin care products too. Hope this helps 🙂

  3. you can buy a lot of asian cosmetics from there, which are hard to find here, esp the authentic bb creams and do check out sephora 🙂

  4. Hello. I am from kl. There’s sasa chain selling Asian cosmetics. In Malaysia cosmetics and skin are are 0% tax. All major brands are here. Check out Hada Labo skin care from pharmacy like guardian and watsons. Oh I do highly recommend local brand called Silky Girl. Get the eyeliner. It’s so soft and price is not expensive. 🙂
