After reviewing the Ultime Cleansing Oil, I have for you the Gentle Cleansing Water from Shu Uemura’s Porefinist range.

This new upgraded pore cleanser system and micro refining complex, effectively removes all impurities from excess sebum to protein dirt, for complete pore cleansing while refining skin texture. the foam with high affinity to skin formulated with enzyme known to be contained in botanical fruit extract that cuts protein bonds. My Experience with Shu Uemura Skin Purifier Porefinist Gentle Foaming Cleansing Water:

The beauty of this product lies in the dispenser, it’s a foam dispenser! Yes, I know, but these things still excite me!! So, this gentle cleansing water is quite aptly named, it’s one of the gentlest cleansers that I have ever come across. You know how cleanser can some times be so harsh on the skin that they strip the skin off all moisture and some times, when they are touted to be gentle, they don’t even cleanse effectively. Well, this one from Shu Uemura comes as a refreshing change. While it works extremely effectively to clear the dirt, grime and excess sebum from the pores. It does not strip off all moisture. It actually leaves the skin refreshed, radiant, supple and smooth.

I love the slightly herbal fragrance it has, it reminds me of green forests lush after a rain. The foam it dispenses is thick and gentle, and spreads easily. I feel like a kid in a bubble bath. The dispenser works efficiently and one full pump is sufficient for the whole face and neck.

I use it in the morning or as the second step of double cleansing, in the evening. I do not use it as a makeup remover. I prefer to use cleansing oil for that. On days when I have had makeup on for a long time or when I have used heavier makeup, I generally double cleanse. So, I use cleansing oil to remove the makeup and then follow it up with this.

It leaves my skin feeling absolutely clean, soft, non-stretchy, and clear over time. The lovely mix of ingredients like water lily extract, dragons beard extract, salicylic acid and deep sea water, helps to combat acne and excess oil issues while still moisturizing the skin and keeping it hydrated. All this, without leaving any residue on the skin.

Absolutely. A bottle would last you a good 3 – 3.5 months with regular usage. This is already on my list for getting a backup!
