For quite some time, I’ve been wanting to invest in a good set of makeup brushes. However, since I don’t use makeup on a regular basis, I was quite hesitant about owning lots of brushes that I may not need at all. Sigma was one of the brands that was always on my mind, owing to its roaring reviews. I chanced upon this collection while browsing their website, and I simply had to have it! You’d have to read on to know if you should own this too .

My Experience with Sigma Girl Color Pop Collection:

Let’s start with the adorable polka dot packaging!It’s a metal case container which is sturdy and is exactly like those metal container with 12 color pencils in it. I can pop this into my bag without any trouble. It includes Sigma’s popular brushes that have been mentioned above, each of which retails at the following prices:

E25 – $14 E55 – $14 F40 – $22

The total is $50, about 72% greater than the price of the collection (nerd in the house :p). One would generally think that travel size means tiny things, but these brushes are probably an inch smaller than the original brush and are perfectly sized. Each brush is unique and an absolute delight to use. The pink colored handles makes me want to use this even more :p The original sized brushes have been raved by Rati di here and here. My brief review on each brush is as follows:

E25 – I’ve fallen in love with brush, so much so that I’m planning to buy a couple more of these. A handy brush that both picks up color and blends your eyeshadow to a very smooth finish. The bristles are soft yet extremely effective.

E55 – This is a shader brush. The bristles are compactly packed, dense, soft and picks up the right amount of color. It deposits color very well onto the lids, preventing any of the eyeshadow color from remaining in the brush itself.

F40 – My favorite of the lot! This brush is densely packed with very soft bristles. I use it as a blush brush and a contour brush as well. It picks the right amount of color and does a great job of applying the color on the skin. Since it is angled, it only facilitates the entire process.

The bristles don’t shed on cleaning and these don’t take long to completely dry. I like to clean it after every use, but sometimes I can get a little lazy :pTaking the brushes out of the container can sometimes be a task, since the bristles gets hampered by the ridges on the opening. Sigma did a great job of putting their bestsellers together, I would’ve been happier than happy if they’d included their awesome F 80 Flat top Kabuki too. Okay let’s not get too greedy now, this one is still a steal!

I hope I wouldn’t have to buy it again, but for girls who are looking for a sasta, tikau deal, grab this one as soon as you can! Trust me, you’d never see these brushes lying purposeless in your makeup kitty.
