My Experience with Sigma High Cheekbone Highlighter Brush F03:

Like the F37 brush, this too is made from SigmaTech Fibers – “Sigma Beauty’s exclusive selection of high performance synthetic fibers engineered to outperform traditional animal hair.” The look and the feel of the brush defies this because it looks like a dual fibre brush and feels as soft as natural brushes. The brush feels high quality and is lightweight, just like all Sigma brushes. The handle is slightly wider than that of MAC brushes.
How to apply highlighter

From a distance, it might seem to you like the famed Sephora #57 Concealer Brush; however, this one has longer fibres, is not as tightly packed (as Sephora #57), is softer and is pinched. It has a flat application surface. The brush has fairly tightly packed bristles, which ensures that it has very little give. However, it’s still gentle on the skin since the bristles are so soft.

So, how is this different from a fan brush or a F35 or a F37? Well, this one is supposed to mimic the Anastasia’s Highlighting Brush A23 though I do feel that Anastasia’s brush has a much wider head. This brush is unique from the perspective that it works for both cream as well as powder products.
Sigma Highlighter

Honestly, I can’t think of any other brush which works for cream highlighters, except maybe a stippling brush like MAC 188. The other unique aspect of this brush is that it is for the new age divas cause it really packs on the highlight. Unlike the F37, which gives a diffused highlight, which looks more natural, this one is meant for the more obvious kind of highlight. You basically pat away and work the product onto the skin.
Sigma Highlighter brush

You can obviously go with a little product and pat it to a soft finish, but that will just about beat the purpose of this brush. If you want a softer highlight, go for F37. If you want a bit more definition, go for F35. However, if you want to light up someone’s life – go with this one – F03!

The brush is easy to clean and maintain. Since it’s made of synthetic fibre, it’s easy to use with cream products and still maintain. It’s not too much of a multi-tasking brush, but you could use it to set your under eye powder.

Again, just for your information, the brush is Made in China!

To sum this up for you:

Pros of Sigma High Cheekbone Highlighter Brush F03:

  • Lightweight.
  • Packs on the highlight.
  • Works well for powder and cream highlighter.
  • Easy to maintain since it has synthetic fibers.
  • Works very well for application of under eye setting powder as well.
  • Excellent with picking up the product and depositing it.
  • Cruelty free.
  • Extremely soft.

Cons of Sigma High Cheekbone Highlighter Brush F03:

  • Can’t think of anything.

IMBB Rating:
4.5/5

In terms of quality, it’s a good brush; however, this is not for everyone. It’s strictly and only for people who want to up their highlighting game and want the instagram glow on their faces 🙂

  1. So true, with so many highlighters available, it’s good that brands are coming up with really good highlighter brushes as well.

  2. I have a similar brush from MUFE so i really know the importance of a high cheekbone brush. 😀 Isn’t it amazing that brands are coming up with these specific brushes as well. Totally makes a makeup experience whole lot luxurious and fancy. 🙂 lovely review 🙂

    1. Gone are the days when you would make do most of your application with 1-2 brushes. Now, even for a single product, we use half a dozen different brushes n sponges!!
