My Experience with Sigma Unclouded Inner Rim Brightener:

The creamy eye brightener comes in a sleek white wooden pencil packaging with a tight lid cap in housed nicely in a cardboard box with details. I absolutely adore this long creamy pencil even though sharpening leads to wastage.

packaging

These inner rim brighteners are available in 3 shades namely: Unclouded (A traditional white), Polished (A peachy nude) and Final Touch (A soft pink) which seem perfect for every Asian Indian beauty including fair to dark skin tones. Considering my fair skin, I picked two shades which seem good enough for fair skin tones – Unclouded and Polished. Unclouded is described as a traditional white eye brightener for a polished bright eye look and it is true to its description.

white eyeliner

It imparts a wide awake eye look to my small sleepy eyes whether I wear it alone with a dash of mascara or pair it with various eye shadows. It almost works well with any type of smoky, matte colorful eye makeup as I see myself wearing it more often with my Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette (review coming sooner). Talking about the texture, it is absolutely creamy and glides easily on my waterline or lower lash line without tugging or poking.

tip

In fact, the creamy texture makes it tricky for my watery eyes to hold the color; I mean, blame it on my water eyes which need few swipes to hold the color on the lash line or water line. But this is an unavoidable mess for me as even the best of liner fade off from the outer and inner corners. No worries, touch-ups help to hold the pigmentation for longer hours.

pencil eyeliner

It does need touch-ups for initial hours and then it stays intact for decent 4-5 hours before fading into a light sheen. Moreover, leaving aside my watery eyes, I see it manages to stay on the waterline for at least good 5 hours. While, on the lower lash line, it may stay for longer. Considering the price and creamy texture, I certainly won’t complain further. In fact, it has never irritated my sensitive eyes or caused any stinging or burning sensation even after several hours.

inner eye brightener

I feel other than the brightening effect it certainly makes my eyes look healthy by enhancing the white of my eyes. I haven’t used this white pencil on my brow bone as suggested considering my yellow undertones, but I am sure it will work best as a highlighter because it has an absolutely creamy and soft texture which does not look patchy or flakey.

swatch

I think beauties with very fair skin tone and pink or neutral undertones would love to play with this universal package while others can wear it undoubtedly on the inner rim for wide awake eyes. I might get it again and would definitely recommend all three shades from Sigma to all of you.
