Hope you guys had a fantastic weekend, mine was busy, me and hubby saw two movies back to back after a long time, one of which is the new zombie movie “Go Goa Gone” 🙂

Today, I will be reviewing my current favorite scrub Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub. Simple skin care products are highly raved in US, especially their cleansing wipes which are a cult favorite! Their products typically seem to be good for oily to combination skin. Now, I am not big on using facial scrubs, especially those apricot ones.  The last I had used and liked was Hip Hop Kiwi Scrub and that was like 2 years ago! No, that does not mean I don’t exfoliate, but I like to use chemical-based cream as exfoliators like glycolic acid, lactic acid, etc., and I love using my Clarisonic Mia whenever I use makeup which not only cleanses but exfoliates the skin really well.

One of the reasons I don’t tend to use facial scrubs is for the fact most of them are cream based and leave oily residue on skin! I absolutely detest it! Having said that, I went ahead and bought this scrub mainly for the impressive ingredient list!

My Experience with Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub:

Simple Oil Balancing range is targeted towards oily to combination skin. The range consists of face wash, moisturizer, scrub and cleansing wipes. The scrub comes in a very pretty, light blue packaging and contains 75 ml of product. The tube has a flip open cap which shuts tightly, perfectly suitable for travelling.

The scrub is white in color with tiny white beads.  On the skin, the scrubs feels very creamy, but as you start to rub it, the creaminess vanishes. The tiny beads are very gentle and at the same time does a really good job of exfoliating the dead skin on face. They don’t feel harsh at all.

The scrub feels water based and hence does not leave any kind of oily residue on the skin which is a huge plus for me! I have highly combination skin with dry patches around the nose and mouth and this scrub takes care of them very well.

It does not irritate the skin in any way, so perfectly suitable for sensitive skin as well.

The best part is that it does all the things it promises! I find my face clean and bright, it does control oil for 3+ hours which is fantastic in this humid climate of KL! It does not break me out, I don’t have much problem with blackheads but since I started using this on weekly basis, I definitely have seen reduction in whiteheads and zits! I am definitely re-purchasing this once its over!

Highly recommend it! I feel this will suit all skin types! A must-try, especially for oily to combination beauties who are battling with blackheads, whiteheads and excess sebum!
