Hello IMBB,
My sister is getting married in December. She is not comfortable wearing heavy makeup. Can you please suggest simple minimal makeup for her, that looks elegant. Also, please let me know the concerned products to use as our knowledge in makeup is very limited
A few details:
- She has fair to medium complexion.
- Her sarees are traditional green and pink Kanjeevaram and gold and pink Kanjeevaram.
- Her hairstyle will be traditional floral braid .
- Wedding is traditional South Indian Brahmin wedding.

Congratulations to your sister – Here are some basic makeup products that I think would be good for a bride who does not like too much makeup:
Tinted moisturizer, high definition foundation, compact powder, pink/red/nude lipsticks, lip liner, long-staying kajal, kohl, waterproof mascara, blush according to skin tone, and also an eyeshadow palette with colors like gold, green, copper, pink shades.
If not used to much makeup then I suggest try the makeup products nw to see if it suits her or not n if any reactions may occur.
For simple makeup- I suggest she shud use a mild face wash n then scrub n follow up with a good toner n moisturizer.
This step will give a subtle glow.
Focuss on hwr major skin issues if any like large pores or any scars ..etc n choose makeup accordingly.
I.e. pores— use a good primer den tinted moisturizer followed by compact or loose powder n a natural blush acc to skin tone n gold or neutral brown eye shadow.
Choose a coral or reddish pink lipstick if not comfortable with bold reds or pinks.
Kajal/eyeliner is must….
Eyebrow pencil n mascara too needed.
