Skin Depigmentation Clinic: Ask IMBB

Ask IMBB Gang

Pratibhasagar V. asks:

Hi to all the beauties,

My query is for my younger sister who follows CTM but skips sunscreen.  Now, the tanning has gone bad to the extent that its beginning to look like patch on the forehead.  Some clinic she checked were suggesting to go for laser and she is worried if it causes any problems and the patch test that they did turned black in a week and peeled in the next week.  She recently moved to Bangalore. Does anyone know of any professional clinics in Bangalore for good treatments to address this economically.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Love to all.

God Bless You :))

  1. Check Kaya, they have some services. However, if a treatment has caused her skin to go black, consult a dermatologist first and take advice before proceeding with any kind of treatment.

    1. Firstly thanks Jomol for uploading the query. *thankyou*

It was Kaya who did the patch test on her arm and apparently the dermatologist there only had suggested her that peel (and tried the patch test). *hunterwali*

      1. Prati, then do not take that treatment *nababana* You can consult a dermatologist from a reputed hospital and usually dermatologists are the ones who have sureshot solutions to such problems. I hope your sister gets rid of the mark soon :))

  2. Hey Prati,

Consulting a reputed dermatologist is the best.
I have undergone a Laser treatment for acne marks in a reputed hospital in Delhi and as far as I know about Laser, it is a treatment in which a high energy beam is injected into the skin at predetermined depth(depending upon the problem) which causes our current skin cells to burn..thus causing redness/blackness.
The skin then initiates the normal healing process(same as any other cut or burn) replacing the old problematic/deformed cells with a fresh ones.
Depending on your skin and the kind of Laser(frequency/energy/depth of the beam) the down time may vary, but it can not be eliminated altogether.

    Hope this helps.

(wow!! my first appearance on the form after following mutely for months )

  3. Hey pratibha,

Ask u sisy to meet dr.pranjal shamsher(jayanagar) she is one of the best dermatologist available in bangalore now a days….little expensive but good doc….

    Regards

  4. Oh, you ought to go to a really good dermatologist. I don’t know of any in Bangalore but i just wanted to state the experience of my aunt who went to a non-recommended doc and she got laser done to her face for rejuvenating her skin. They burnt her facial skin black and the poor thing, she looks horrible. It’s like she’s aged a million times. I feel so sorry for her because it’s very hard to undo the damage even if we recommend some creams or ointments. She’s terribly scarred. So be very careful and do go to someone who doesn’t recommend very strong treatments in a single sitting.

  5. Well Prati….i hope your sis soon finds her good skin days…but i would like to share here that i am also suffering from mild pigmentation isssues…and after a lot of search on IMBB and google i came through many products but i am terribly confused between this two-Fabindia De-pigmentation cream, Clinique even better spot corrector. I know price is on higher side for clinique but i want my skin to be better….so,All the beauty gurus of IMBB plzz suggest…

  6. Tell her to use fabindia vitamin e depigmentation cream….read its each and every review to know how you have to use it…use it only on affected area….though u can see how it works for you….i have heard it works ….!!!!

Also take her to a skin dermatologist and see if they reccomend her a cream which contains less than 2% hydroquinone…more than that is not prescribed…search about hydroquinone…if used in right quanity in creams , itt helps bringing back skin to its original complexion…..!!!!!
