Skinfood Black Sesame Hot Mask Review

Skinfood Black Sesame Hot Mask Review

Helloooaa!!

I am a big fan of face masks. Skinfood has a wide range of face masks. I have tried their black sugar wash off mask and I absolutely loved it. Since winters are coming, I thought of trying a self-heating mask. So, I bought Skinfood Black Sesame Hot Mask which I am going to review now.

Skinfood Black Sesame Hot Mask

Product Claims:

A self-warming mask with black sesame seeds that deep cleanses and smooths rough scaly skin.

Price:

$8 for 110 gm.

Ingredients:

Key ingredient in this mask is black sesame seed powder. We all know how good sesame oil is for hair growth. Not only for hair but it is also beneficial for skin. Black sesame seeds are rich in zinc which helps to produce collagen and improves skin’s elasticity.

My Experience with Skinfood Black Sesame Hot Mask:

This mask comes in a plastic tub and has a round screw cap. The mask is grey in color and has a thick gel-like consistency which looks gross. The gel has powdered black sesame seeds in it and smells exactly like sesame seeds, but it’s not too overwhelming.  I apply this mask when my face is moist with water.  I massage the mask on my face for a couple of minutes.

While massaging, I feel the mask warming up on my skin.  Then, I stop massaging to let the mask heat up on its own. To my surprise, it does not heat up at all and even the warmth I feel while massaging also cools down.  I am very disappointed by this. The black sesame powder in the mask gently scrubs away dead cells without feeling too harsh and also does a very good job of clearing up the blackheads on my nose. After massaging, I leave the mask on my face for 5 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.

My skin does not feel tight and dry after rinsing off the mask.  There is a slightly healthy glow on my face. Overall, it is a good scrub-cum-mask that cleanses pores well and makes skin soft. I would have liked it so much if only it had heated up a bit more.
