Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit in Medium Review

Dear Beauties,

I have been dying to try products from Sleek since last year and finally I got my hands on the famous “Oh So Special” palette and Face Contour Kit in the shade Medium. I have always been attracted towards eye make up rather than face. Recently, I started venturing into face makeup and contouring and highlighting are quite important aspects of face make up. I have oily to combination skin and always have preferred matte foundations rather than dewy, and matte foundation can make one look really flat. I love to contour my face lightly to bring out the cheekbones and give definition. Now, who doesn’t like high cheekbones like Malaika Arora Khan, but not all are lucky to naturally have one and contouring and highlighting will help you achieve that.

Sleek Face Contour Kit comes in 3 shade range – Light, Medium and Dark.  The “Medium” kit goes perfectly with our tan Indian skin tones. The product retails for 8.49$ and contains 14 gm of product which I think is fair for the price.

My Experience with Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit in Medium:

Sleek is an UK brand known for great quality of products especially their eyeshadow palettes and blushes.  They keep on coming out with new ranges every now and then, so do check out their websites for new products. Sleek’s Face Contour Kit comes in sleek black box packaging which I really like. Its quite compact and classy looking. It also comes with a set of instructions on how to use the contour kit.

Sleek Face Contour Kit Medium2

The shade “Medium” is perfect for our Indian skin tones.  The kit contains two compartments, one for sculpting powder and one for highlighter. The darker shade is completely matte and hence perfect for contouring around cheekbones, nose and jawline. It is warm brown shade with no red undertones and hence it suits our tan skin tone perfectly without looking artificial and muddy. It blends amazingly well and stays 6 to 7 hours on me after which it starts to fade.I am no expert on contouring and this is my first contouring kit, but its quite good and I would definitely suggest it for beginners.

Sleek Face Contour Kit Medium4

The highlighter shade is light peachy gold which will look very flattering on all skin tones.

Sleek Face Contour Kit Medium3

There are no chunky glitters or shimmers in the highlight, so its perfect for day or night time wear. The texture is satin smooth and gives gorgeous sheen. Again, the staying power is good as the contour powder and stays on me for 6 to 7 hours which I find quite reasonable.

Sleek Face Contour Kit Medium5

Both the powders compliment each other quite well and for beginners I feel this is the best kit since you get both a warm contour powder and gorgeous peachy gold highlight.

Sleek Face Contour Kit Medium6

Pros of Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit in Medium:

  • Sleek and compact packaging.
  • Comes with a huge mirror.
  • Two-in-one, contains contour powder and a highlighter.
  • The texture is smooth and blends easily.
  • Does not look patchy or blotchy.
  • The highlighter is a gorgeous peachy gold color without any chunky glitters or shimmers.
  • The contour powder is completely matte!
  • Fantastic pigmentation and easily buildable.
  • Good staying power.
  • Does not irritate the skin in any way.
  • Reasonably priced for two products in one!

Cons of Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit in Medium:

  • Availability! Since Sleek products need to be ordered online only.

Price:

8.49$ for 14 gm product.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5

Do I Recommend Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit in Medium?

Love this kit to the core. Have been dreaming about it for some time, but wasnt sure which shade to go for (medium or dark)

Parita, I am NC43-45, which shade would do justice to me ? Any thoughts ?

And eagerly waiting for your FOTDs :)

Hi Prati..apologize for the delay.. I am NC42 myself and medium one works fine for me..you should def check out medium or dark…dark might be too dark but if you want dramatic contour than it will work for u..i think for those below NC45 medium should work fine :)
