My Experience with Smashbox L.A. Lights Blendable Lip & Cheek Color – Silver Lake Sunset:

This multi-purpose stick is a twist-up chubby stick. It is light weight and travel friendly. I have a travel size for this shade, but the full size includes a blending sponge too.

The formula of the product is feather light. When applied, it gives a feel like nothing has been applied on skin. This is a big advantage for summers when wearing any kind of makeup is difficult due to sweating issues. The shade Silver Lake Sunset is a light peach shade with a subtle golden sheen. The shade is light but well pigmented and the golden sheen is just perfect. You can never go over board or look like a disco ball with Silver Lake Sunset in hand. The multi-purpose stick’s formula blends like butter and doesn’t result in streaks. I prefer using my own brush/tool for blending purpose when I apply it on cheeks. For lips, it can be applied directly from the bullet.

It gives a natural flush of color to cheeks, with subtle sheen which illuminates the overall look with a healthy glow, but without being particularly noticed. The product can also be used as a subtle highlighter for cheek bones or collar bones. When applied on lips, it turns out to be a peachy nude shade with slight lustre. It doesn’t wash me out but should be paired with smoky eye for an appropriate makeup look. It comes with easy blending, streak free application and doesn’t accentuate pores or dry patches. I am in love with the creamy formula. The longevity is 4 hours at average for both cheeks and lips.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Smashbox L.A. Lights Blendable Lip & Cheek Color – Silver Lake Sunset?
I definitely recommend it. I have two in my stash already, so I might pick one more because I love the formula but not repurchase this shade or Malibu Berry shade again. I will lay my hands on a different shade this time.
