Smokey Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial
Dear All,
First of all, thank you so much for your encouraging comments on my first tutorial of Sultry Silver Smokey Eyes. Today, I am back with another step-by-step tutorial for you all. I am in love with purple color these days and today I will be doing a purple smokey eyes tutorial which is perfect for a night-out with friends or a pub night! When I reviewed L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Burning Black,ย many of you requested me to do a look using the same and for this look, I am going to use “Burning Black” to achieve a smoked-out look.
This is how the final look turned out, I am really happy with the outcome and I hope you all like it too ๐
Before we start with the tutorial, let’s take a look at the products I have used to achieve this look:
1) Concealer or eyeshadow base, I have used Colorbar Stick Concealer.
2) Bright purple eyeshadow, I have used Colorbar Single Eyeshadow in Star Violet.
3) Deep burgundy eyeshadow, I have used L’oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Burning Black.
4) Matte cream/white eyeshadow for highlighting brow bone.
5) Bright purple shade for inner corner highlighting, I have used Maybelline’s liner in violet.
6) Black eyeliner.
7) Mascara.
8) Kajal for waterline.
Brushes:
1) Faces eyeshadow brush.
2) MAC 217 for blending the crease.
3) Flat tip brush for lining the waterline.
So, let’s get started:
1) First, start with clean and moisturized eyes, apply concealer or any eyeshadow base to even out the skin tone on your eyelids, I have used Colorbar Stick Concealer.
2) Apply a bright purple eyeshadow on the inner half of your eyelids. ย I have used Colorbar eyeshadow in Star Violet.
3) Apply deep burgundy eyeshadow in the outer half of the eyelids. ย I have used L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Burning Black.
4) Take a clean blending brush and blend both the eyeshadows in the crease to remove any harsh edges.
5) Apply the same bright purple eyeshadow in the inner half of lower lash line and deep burgundy in the outer half.
6) Apply bright purple eyeshadow to highlight the inner corner of the eyes, I have used Maybelline’s Violet eyeliner. Also, apply a matte cream eyeshadow to highlight the brow bone.
7) Apply black eyeliner on top lash line, kohl on waterline and some mascara.
Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial, do leave your comments and if you have any requests for which tutorial you want to see further ๐
Till next time, take care and stay beautiful!

thanks a lot Neha ๐ coming from you means a lot!
super gorgeous :))))
this mascara is so pretty ๐ im going to try this soon ๐
and i wanted to ask, which concealer would u reccommend this colorbar one or the inglot refills ?
Thanks poorva..i love both of them..colorbar in stick form comes handy and i love the finish it gives..absolutely natural and matches my skin tone really well..inglot one is more creamier than colorbar stick one and i like that one too but m lazy to use it coz i need a brush to apply.. ๐
Thanks a lot ๐ i want to pick one of the two but i think picking up both wouldn’t be a bad option either. ๐
not at all.. ๐
loved it Parita..
thanks a lot gurpreet
wow………gorgeous ๐
๐ thank you Ishani!
i am trying this eye make up for sure wen i go out the next time ๐ its awesome Parita di. the best thing about it is that this make up is very simple to do. ๐
m glad you liked it Surbhi ๐ pls do try and share your experience ๐
i loved!
thank you priyanka ๐
wow..very pretty… loved the purple shade.. ๐
I have a query.. each time i try to blend in two or more shades of the eye shadow, they mix with each other and form a different color and i dont get the desired two shaded eye shadow.. how do i overcome this problem??
hi yogika..totally understand..i used to face the same problem..the key here is to blend very softly only the edges of the eyeshadow and not taking the blending brush below the crease area where the eyeshadows are placed..hope m making some sense?
ohh.. they should be blended only in between? not overall..?
yeah..if you blend overall they will definitely go into each other na ๐ blending has to be done only in the crease area to remove any harsh edges or lines..we want very natural transition from crease area towards the brow bone
they should not be blended in between too..say for eg you have a golden eyeshadow in the inner half of your eyelids and pink in the outer half..you dont have to blend these eyeshadow where they meet on your eyelids but you need to blend the harsh edges on the crease area only! hope this helped ๐
awesome!
thanks riya!

Definitely I never thought of using purple eye shadow this way. It looks really gorgeous yet simple!
thank you Tarannum!
Loved the look!! Will this go with a mauve sari??
if the shade has purple undertones then definitely yes or else you can apply a cranberry shade like inglot 450 in the inner half of your eyelids and follow the rest same..it’ll look gorgeous!
