Soap And Glory Hand Food Review In Flavors: Original Pink Rose Fragrance, Fruitigo And Sugar Crush

Hola beauties.. 🙂

Hope everyone is enjoying winters with a cup of hot soup and spicy IMBB posts. We are experiencing sudden storm alerts and fearing heavy flood & rains till weekend. Hope everything settles soon with no unwanted news and casualties. I am taking this opportunity to sit at home with my hubby and enjoy quality time, apart from baking fresh buns and bread of his choice, Yay!

Anyway, I am also here to share my latest love with you all, which will reveal the secret of my soft and glowing hands lol 😛 I am also guilty of ignoring them, as I felt I inherited soft and beautiful hands from my mom and have taken them for granted. However, now I am taking extra care to keep them soft and youthful, just like my mom. My mom uses pure desi ghee for her youthful skin, which is really impossible for me, since I can’t bear the smell, plus there are other factors like my oily skin and limited availability of pure ghee in today’s era! Hence, I chose to use hand creams available in markets and there is no better choice than Soap & glory hand food, right? So, let’s read on further to know more about Soap and glory hand food. 🙂

Price: $ 15 for 4.2 Fl Oz hand cream, I bought 1.69 Fl oz hand cream trio for $15 over all.

Packaging: These creamy hand butters come in the usual sturdy pink tube packaging, with flip top opening and all the three flavors look similar unless we read the initials. Overall, their packaging seem quite user friendly, hygienic and travel friendly.

My Experience with Soap & Glory Hand Food:

Well ideally all three hand food creams seem more or less similar to me, especially the tube packaging and texture. Apart from working like a charm on my skin, they even smell slightly similar, especially the Sugar Crush and Fruitigo.

My personal favorite is the Original Pink Rose fragrance which smells heavenly of rose gardens, with a hint of vanilla sometimes. The smell stays for long hours, though it becomes less noticeable with each passing hour. My second vote goes to Fruitigo, which smells like that of citrus orchards, with hint of almonds in between. The smell lingers on for a few good hours, thereafter leaving traces of citrus almond notes. I prefer using it during hang outs and parties for refreshing citrusy smell. Lastly, but certainly not the least, is Sugar Crush, which smells a lot like Fruitigo to be precise, but it lasts for fewer hours than the former, leaving behind soft supple hands.

The texture of hand food is slightly thick, yet light weight, which immediately absorbs onto skin, with gentle massage strokes. It does not leave any oily residue behind, just squeaky clean hands. I usually suffer with sweating hands and hence I am very skeptical about using hand creams, but this hand food totally impressed me, as I noticed significant reduction in sweat on my hands.

I also felt considerable change in texture of my skin, as it looks more hydrated, youthful and glowing than before. I feel I can’t live without hand food, now that I have seen the positive changes it imparts to my hands and feet. Oh yes, I use them for my feet twice a day and they take good care of my skin there as well.

Needless to say, they are true to their claim and work like charm on skin. The only down side I see is that I need to re-apply them after every 6-7 hours for soft supple skin or my hands show up dryness, due to excessive household and water tasks. However, I won’t take it as con since I am habitual of exposing my hands to water & detergents almost 10-12 times a day and it shows up on my hands and we can’t do anything, other than using gloves or mittens to protect our skin apart from using external treatments like these creams.

Pros Of Soap & Glory Hand Food:

  • A light weight thick hand cream infused with goodness of almond oil, shea butter, grape seed oil etc
  • The cream immediately sinks onto the skin without leaving any oily residue behind
  • In general, these hand food creams are effective in treating mild dry skin, apart from maintaining youthful supple skin
  • They may feel lightweight enough to absorb within seconds, but our skin feel moisturized and hydrated for good 5+ hours
  • The smell might be strong initially and lingers on for few hours thereby becoming less noticeable
  • They are effective for treating dry feet as well and take good care of feet provided we are regular with their usage twice a day
  • Quite economic, hygienic and travel friendly packaging at reasonable price

Cons of Soap & Glory Hand Food:

  • It might fail to impress extremely dry hands
  • Initially we might need to re-apply cream frequently to get soft, supple hands
  • It is not meant to treat mild xerosis or eczema skin
  • Beauties with sensitive skin might feel a turn off due to smell
  • It does contain chemicals which might be bothering for everyday usage

Conclusion: I am happy that this cream is free of other harmful chemicals like parabens and sulfates, though it is loaded with other set of chemicals ,which may bother us in long run, but as of now I am happy to see the results and ready to ignore its chemical list. I would certainly get them again since I am totally into skin care including hands & feet as well.

Would I Recommend/ Repurchase Soap & Glory Hand Food?

I feel these hand food creams are worth every dime and true to their claim. I whole heartedly recommend them for winters apart from summers since they are very lightweight. Personally I am determined to get them again irrespective of winters/summers around.

IMBB Rating: 4/ 5.

      1. Exactly, I use the same body butter or lotion. But lately I am seeing so many age spots on my hands 🙁 do you think hand creams work on spots, I don’t see any on your hands!

        1. yaar ironically i see spots on my face but none on my hands.. :'( I wish it cud hv been reverse though.. 🙁 hand creams will work on dry spots but not on pigmentation ones monika. If age spots are as in, flaky dry patch then yes or if its sun burn type pigmentation then might b u need other treatment.
