Hope you all are well during the festive season and enjoying your holidays with your friends and family. I would be reviewing another product from Soap and Glory today. I have been using Soap and Glory’s Scrub of Your Life Body Buffer alternatively with the Flake Away Body Scrub. I really like “Flake Away” and couldn’t wait to try the “Scrub of Your Life” smoothing body buffer also as both of them were in travel sizes. Soap and Glory is a super cute brand with pink packaging and depicts 1950s soap ads in the labelling. From the time I received Soap and Glory products as gifts from my cousin, I have been trying them one by one since most of them were in travel sizes. Some of the products were in full size as well.
It’s thick, it’s foamy, it’s fantastically fresh, it’s satisfyingly stuffed with just the right ratio of scrubbing beads. Scented with our Original Pink™ fragrance.
Instructions For Use:
Wet down in the shower, turn off the water, squeeze out a handful of and get a smooth on. Scrub and soap up until you’re satisfied, then rinse thoroughly. (We’d suggest you follow all this with a Soap & Glory body moisturizer, but we’re biased).

My Experience with Soap and Glory Scrub of Your Life Smoothing Body Buffer:
Okay, so this is a body buffer and not a body scrub. A body buffer has small, finer particles and gives a milder exfoliation compared to body scrubs, that’s my understanding. This body polish comes in a flip top tube and I’m so thankful for that because I don’t have to struggle in the shower trying to make sure water does not get into the tub packaging. The product has a gel-like consistency with pink beads in between which are the exfoliating particles. The gel itself is colourless and looks like a cross between gelatine and glue.
The fragrance is again the trademark “pink” fragrance from Soap and Glory. The consistency is so different than any other body polish or scrub I have tried so far because it is of gel-like consistency. I tried this by itself on damp skin and felt it didn’t give much of a body polishing effect compared to Flake Away, even though it cleaned and refreshed exceptionally well. However, since this is a body polish and not a scrub, I was not disappointed in that aspect. Since it foams well, it leaves you feeling squeaky clean, but not dry because it is not a salt scrub and does not leave behind a moisturising residue behind. My skin didn’t feel dry or stretched at all, but I had to moisturise it afterwards.
With regular use (I alternate between this and flake away for the past one month), my skin texture has definitely improved. My knees and elbows definitely feel smoother and I have been also using the righteous body butter immediately after using the body scrub. Since these products were in travel version, my only worry is that they are running out pretty quickly. However, I have a couple more scrubs to try from Soap and Glory and they do make a good variety of them.
This product is for you if you want gentle to mid-level exfoliation and would like to use an exfoliator almost daily. However if you are after something more coarse and heavy duty, try “Flake Away.”
Why I Love Soap and Glory Scrub of Your Life Smoothing Body Buffer:
- Gently but effectively exfoliates skin.
- Improved skin texture with regular use, however, the product must be used continuously to achieve this.
- Smells cute, girly and pink with the trademark “pink” fragrance.
- Comes in a flip top cap (maybe because of its consistency) and is easy to be used in the shower.
- Lathers pretty well and leaves skin squeaky clean
Why I Do Not Like Soap and Glory Scrub of Your Life Smoothing Body Buffer:
- Contains a whole lot of parabens, namely Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben and Isobutylparaben.
- Doesn’t provide intense scrubbing as “Flake Away.”
- Over priced in countries other than UK and USA.
Will I Repurchase Soap and Glory Scrub of Your Life Smoothing Body Buffer?
I haven’t seen this particular scrub in Australia. I would like to first try some other scrubs/exfoliators from Soap and Glory. However, in future, if I were to purchase Soap and Glory products, I will try to avoid the ones with a whole lot of parabens.
