Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Polish review

Hi Guys,
Merry Christmas to all of you!
DSC02515
I’m in love with soap and glory these days. I received some gift packs and have been using some of the products since the beginning of the month. None of the products from soap and glory have disappointed me so far. I especially love their body scrubs which have unique names. This is my second product and I have already reviewed the girligo moisturising mist. For summer I can’t have enough body scrubs. I have been using the L’Occitane magical leaves exfoliating gel couple of times a week but felt I need something more rougher so tried out this Flake away body polish which my cousin got for me. All soap and glory products some in pretty pink and white packaging which symbolises 1950’s soap ads. In addition to that all products from this brand have super cute names. I’ll be reviewing a body scrub “flake away” from soap and glory today.

My Experience with Soap and glory Flake away Body polish
This product comes in a cute pink tub and the scrub itself has small salt granules and seed granules and is light brown in colour. The fragrance is the “typical” soap and glory fragrance which smells of peach, almond and strawberries. This is called a body polish and the granules are just right to provide exfoliation. You can actually see the exfoliating particles. I hate products which claim to be exfoliating scrubs and body washes but which actually contain only a very small amount of particles. After rubbing for a few seconds the granules melt and become a lather which is easy to wash away and doesn’t clog my shower.
I use this on damp skin as suggested and felt my skin was exfoliated well especially around the dry areas such as elbows and knees. After scrubbing this product and washing it this leaves a thin film on the skin which I assume is because of the almond oil and is meant to act as a moisturiser for the exfoliated skin.Im perfectly ok with this and I can even skin moisturising because I have normal skin during summer. However, if you want the squeaky clean feeling you can use it before bedtime.Additionaly since this contains sea salt, if you have irritated or sensitive skins please stay away from this product. Since I got this in travel size it is almost over because of regular use over the month and I have started using another Soap and glory scrub which was also a gift. ☺

Why you would love Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Polish

• Provides the exact exfoliation my skin needs, contains just enough granules and has the correct texture
• Pretty pink girly packaging which reminds me of Barbie dolls and candy shops
• The salt granules melt away and is easy to wash off
• Contains almond oil, Shea butter and grape seed oil for moisturisisation on top of exfoliation
• This scrub makes skin soft and supple after continued usage
• Lovely fragrance
• Does not contain parabens

Why you wouldn’t like Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Polish

• Not easily available in all countries
• Quite pricier in countries other than UK or USA
• Tub packaging is not hygienic and water tends to get into the tub while using it in the shower.

IMBB Rating: 4.75/5

Will I repurchase this?
This is not easily available in Australia but I will try to get this through friends in future.

  1. I love their cute packaging.. Had tried their hair food when i ws in england.. Bought the shampoo n conditioner.. Yet to use them back at home..

  2. I love Soap & Glory products! At first, I thought the packaging and names were a little gimmicky, but the products work really well. They’re a little expensive, though, for a drugstore product!
This scrub goes on my list 😛

    1. True Devie ….. They are a drugstore product in UK as in very reasonably priced but in other countries they are so overpriced and available at department stores …. 🙁
