Strawberry Facial Scrub – Do It Yourself

Strawberry Facial Scrub Do It Yourself

I am a huge strawberry fan. I eat it raw, use it in smoothies and desserts. There are a host of health benefits that strawberries have to offer. I won’t be detailing all those, but I do want to mention that strawberries are very rich in Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant. Vitamin C is a naturally occurring anti-wrinkle agent, and is very important for the production of collagen.  Collagen is a protein that gives the skin its firmness.  Recently, one of my aunts told me to try the homemade strawberry facial scrub. I gave it a try, liked it a lot and was pleased to notice how fresh, baby soft and yummy smelling my skin felt after using this scrub. I am definitely going to be using this scrub on a regular basis.

It is very easy to make the scrub with very few ingredients in it. Hope you gals like it :)

Materials Required:

  • 2 ripe strawberries.
  • Milk – 1 tablespoon.
  • Oatmeal powder – 1 tablespoon (can be substituted with rice powder instead).

Method:

1.  Remove the stems from the strawberries, rinse well and chop them into small pieces.

2.  Mash the pieces with the help of a spoon/fork.

5. Mix into a smooth paste.

Strawberry Scrub

Your homemade strawberry facial scrub is ready!

Apply this mixture to your face and neck. Avoid the eyes and lips. Gently massage it for a couple of minutes using circular motions. Rinse with cold water, pat dry with a towel and you are done.  If you want to use this as a body scrub, you can mix this strawberry scrub with half a cup of sugar and use it.

I know everybody has already said this, but wow I wanna eat it too! :)
Probably freeze it and make it into some icecream :D
Jokes apart, strawberries have very good properties, they clear up acne and oiliness, make skin younger and smoother, whiten teeth, reduce under-eye puffiness and so much more ! :)
