Streax Pro Nutri Care Repair Max Shampoo and Masque

By Priya R.

Hey Gals!

Today, I will be reviewing the Streax Pro Nutri Care Repair Max Shampoo and Masque.  This is my first review on IMBB and I am super excited! Both these products are from Streax Professional Range and are ideal for chemically-treated hair (straightened and rebonded hair).

Streax Pro Nutri Care Repair Max Shampoo and Masque

Product Description:

It claims to have pomegranate extracts, rich in vitamins and anti-oxidiants which nourishes the damaged hair and protects against pollution, stress & harsh chemical treatments.

Price:

The MRP for the 250 ML Shampoo is Rs. 210 (Shelf life of 3 years).  The MRP for the 200 GM Masque is Rs. 250. (Shelf life of 2 years).  Prior to Streax, I had been using “L’Oreal Professional Xtenso” range which was freakingly expensive for regular use!

Packaging:

The shampoo comes in a golden yellow plastic bottle and the masque in the same color tub. I must say not a very attractive packaging.

Streax

Fragrance:

Both the products have a very strong fragrance of pomegranate which might not be very appealing to the senses, but you get used to it with regular usage.

Ingredients:

Ingredients 1

Ingredients 2

Usage Directions:

Distribute the shampoo evenly into damp hair. Massage gently & rinse thoroughly, to be followed by masque. Apply the masque starting from roots and going towards tips. Leave it on for 3-4 minutes & rinse thoroughly.

My Experience with Streax Pro Nutri Care Repair Max Shampoo and Masque:

I had straightened my hair last year in January 2011 and since then I have been using hair dryer and hair straightener regularly to maintain the straightening effect due to which my hair had got damaged a lot and also had become very thin.  So, I decided not to use hot tools on my hair frequently (I earlier used them 3-4 times a week).  Now, I use them occassionaly, only if I want to look super fancy.

Repair Masque

I use this shampoo and masque every alternate day and the results are amazing.  My hair looks super glossy and shiny with every wash. It also maintains the “straight” texture of my hair. I have been using these products since the last 9 months now. Normally, with 3-4 times usage per week, the shampoo and masque lasts for around 1.5 months for medium length hair.

Pros of Streax Pro Nutri Care Repair Max Shampoo and Masque:

  • Inexpensive product for chemically-treated hair.
  • Hair gets renewed shine.
  • Maintains straight hair without the help of hot tools on hair on a regular basis.
  • Restores hair elasticity and lustre.

Cons of Streax Pro Nutri Care Repair Max Shampoo and Masque:

  • Smells strong initially while applying, but the scent fades out after rinsing. In fact, the hair smells amazing after it dries out completely.
  • Unattractive packaging.
  • Might be difficult to get in small cities as these products are from the “Streax Professional Range.”

Final Verdict on Streax Pro Nutri Care Repair Max Shampoo and Masque:

If you want to maintain your chemically-straightened hair at less cost, then it is one of the ideal products available in the market. As the product claims, it does revitalises and repairs damaged and chemically-treated hair from the inside out. Renews the hair shine and nourishes them. I would definitely recommend this product and I would continue to repurchase.
