Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lipstick in Runway Russet Review

Today, I am going to review a product that not only surprised the hell out of me, but has become one of my absolute favourite lipsticks.  It’s so inexpensive, it puts a lot of products to shame and so good it will make you wonder why you didn’t buy it sooner. I am talking about *drumrolls* Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist lipstick in Runway Russet. I bought this lipstick a couple of weeks ago and it was so good that a week later, I went and bought 5 more. I have only been wearing these since then. Now that you already know how I feel about them, let’s dig deep and find out if it really is worth all the hype.

A simple, no-fuss glossy black tube with a transparent plastic cover that has a cute comic print and the usual twist-up style.

Price:

Rs. 180, I mean seriously?

My Experience with Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lipstick in Runway Russet:

The shade is a beautiful neutral pinkish brown color, a n*de on medium to dusky beauties and a gorgeous pink with brown undertones for fair ones.  It’s creamy in texture and glides on like a dream. The pigmentation is not bad but not great either and you will need at least 4 swipes to get the desired color. You would think that at this price, the lipstick would have an awful smell, but surprise surprise, it is odourless. It does transfer but the staying power is good.

On me, it stays for about 4 hours till I have lunch and I had to reapply. It is such a safe color that on days when you’re not sure about which lipstick to wear or you’re having an “I wanna go easy” kinda day, you’ll grab for this lipstick. Believe it or not, I can apply this without a mirror and be sure that I haven’t messed up (but that’s my awesome lipstick applying skills 😉 ). It didn’t dry out my lips AT ALL and I have to appreciate this factor because most of the recent lipsticks that I have bought have for some reason given me dry lips.

If you haven’t noticed already, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this lipstick.  It’s inexpensive, beautiful, stays on longer than you would imagine and smells like nothing. What else do you expect from a lipstick that you got for a fraction of the price of other lipsticks available. If you force me to give one drawback, I’d say the color pay-off could be better. Like I said earlier, you will need at least 4 swipes of this shade but seriously girls, at Rs. 180, I have nothing to complain about. Pair this with a nice smokey eye or with a “no make-up” make-up look and you’re sure to be complimented. It is an unsung hero that stands alone but proud.
