Streetwear Color Rich Megashine Lip Gloss – Bubbly Blast Review

Skin tone: medium light with cool pink undertones

Hello Ladies,
I am back after very long, with a much loved gloss range. It is the new shade launched by Streetwear that belongs to their ‘Color Rich Megashine Lip Gloss Range’. I am reviewing the final two shades, ‘Bubbly Blast’ and ‘Just Plum’.

Price: 170 INR
Shelf Life: 3 years

My Experience with Streetwear Color Rich Megashine Lip Gloss – Bubbly Blast:

I could not resist buying these glosses from ‘Streetwear’ after the lovely reviews from Chayanti and Priyanka. I must thank them and I am happy I got my chunk of glosses. I had ordered pretty much the entire range online and I cannot wait to receive the pending ones. As of now, I am happy that I have ‘Just Plum’, ‘Bubbly Blast’ and ‘Maxi Mocha’  Each of this retail for 175 INR online.

Since Chayanti and Priyanka have almost covered all the tiniest of details of this gloss range, I will be mostly talking about the color and my personal thoughts on these glosses. So moving on the details of ‘Bubbly Blast’

Packaging: I love how this packaging is cute and more colorful compared to the old ones from this range. The cap has the color-coded sticker label of girl reflecting the color of the gloss which makes it quite easy to narrow down on the glosses and more so in a case where you are picking a bunch of shades from this budget-friendly range. I cannot resist saying that I equally love the packaging and performance of the old ones too 😛
Anyhow the other major difference between the old collection and the new launches is that the tube says ‘New Shade’ on the tube and the placement of the sticker label containing the girl’s face. The rest of the packaging details like shelf life and so on are same.

Color: Moving onto the color, it is a bright rose petal pink packed with silver shimmers that I am sure most of us have in our collection. There is nothing special about this sweet shimmery pink gloss. Unless your regular ones are used up, it is not a go-get color. But this budget-friendly, non-sticky gloss definitely scores over a lot of other sheer and sticky regular pink glosses. Apart from that, since pinks and reds would be a part of our vanity, this gloss is a safe shade to layer up on top of your lipsticks or your lip balms on days when you do not feel like wearing much makeup. I would definitely carry this pink one in my purse everywhere because such regular pinks glosses make place in my cosmetic pouch and it is what I thrive on, apart from my lip balms. This soft pink is also a great pick for college-goers and teens.

Texture and Finish: It is smooth to apply but needs at least 2-3 coats which can feel quite heavy on the lips. Even though it feels heavy on the lips, it is bearable. There is nothing about the texture or the finish from this range that anyone would detest. It has all the basic pros that a gloss ‘must have’. The texture is non-sticky and leaves mild shimmers behind but again it is not very bothersome unless you are too particular. The finish is a shimmery one which is how we knew glosses back then. If you strictly want a non-shimmery one, ‘Bubbly Blast’ cannot be your friend.

Pigmentation and Staying Power: The pigmentation of this gloss is just fine and I find it very good for the price and I would almost rate this one as a sheer pink gloss which by default does not go with pigmented lips. It can be used to layer up on your nice tinted lip balms or a coat on your soft pink lipsticks. I tried to layer this up with ‘Pink Shock’ and ‘Lip Smooth Color Bloom’ and it reflected a soft natural pink that works great for my casual evenings. The gloss has a low staying power which is no news anymore but overall there is nothing tacky about the stains or the shimmers it leaves behind. With the first snack or a meal, the gloss smoothly leaves your lips.

There is nothing extraordinary or flattering about this pink shade but it is a shade that I always go to in every gloss range, basically a soft pink. As of now I am good and I got too many to use up, so I am happy with the extra addition to my vanity as I totally love the non-sticky texture and the price tag of this gloss range. When you love tinted balms and glosses to an extent that you always lean upon them majorly, these products become your indispensable ones. Also, I am very glad that these are not disappointing like the sheer tube glosses from Lakme or the Makeup Revolution Lip gloss tube range.

Would I Repurchase/ Recommend Streetwear Color Rich Megashine Lip Gloss – Bubbly Blast?
No. I would not repurchase ‘Bubbly Blast’ as I got enough pink glosses well-pigmented for regular use. I definitely recommend you to try this color only if you prefer shimmery finishes.

  1. I wanted to pick up this shade too, but I have a shade called ‘Valentine Rose’ which is very similar to this, hence I left! But it looks good on you! 😀

  2. TY Priyanka but guess what I too have ‘Valentine Rose’ 😛 but still picked it. These kind of pinks are sure to get over soon as well.
