Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo Review

Hi Beautifuls,

How is your life going on! It’s been a while since I interacted with you all. I was stuck in middle of my thoughts and perhaps consequences of my actions, which led me towards a never-ending battle between parenthood and discipline :P We always face a battle with our inner self and reality. Recently, both of us, husband and wife were discussing upon ways to manage a super active toddler while balancing household chores and work life individually and suddenly our toddler gave us a fully “Center Fresh shock” by emptying half of the kitchen shelf and living room down our second floor patio.  We rushed to rescue our important stuff from our lady don :P Thankfully, the kids down there gave back our stuff, but we could not save our expensive crockery from damage. In a fit of rage, our baby was banged on with full on lectures and harsh words, though she kept on smiling innocently towards us as she could hardly understand a word other than her name :P That very moment, looking over her innocent expressions compelled us to feel ashamed and rethink our manner of dealing with our toddler, but it’s unbelievable to recall that just after a fuming session, she again dragged us down the patio, but this time, it was my favourite lipstick which was crushed down by my baby and we were sitting clueless as in which language or action she would understand our pity situation :P I am still thinking how to rescue myself from this situation :P Anyway, enough of blabbering, let’s talk about my product which was introduced to me by my MIL.  I told you she is so loyal to Suave. So, here I introduce Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo. Please read on further to know about Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo.

Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo 2

Packaging:

This light green-coloured runny fluid comes in semi-translucent bulky bottle packaging with flip top cap. The bottle seems bulky, but it is travel friendly and lasts long in a family consisting of 3 persons.  It does have a yummy green apple flavoured scent which remains around you for an hour or so.

My Experience with Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo:

I just came back from a cold water bath for half an hour after passing away 3 days in confusion, anger, regret and what not! Oh please forgive me, it seems my mind is still fuming :P Let me tell you, I am slowly starting to like Suave for its pocket friendly price and quality. However, this particular shampoo does not qualify my test level for frizzy oily hair, but it works satisfactorily.  The green apple shampoo smells deliciously yummy like fresh green apples. The fluid is slightly runny which is okay for me as I always dilute shampoo in a cup of water and then use it on hair.  It lathers well even after diluting and using it on oily scalp. I always oil my hair before washing and up to some extent, this shampoo clears excess oil from my scalp; however, I still feel an urge to re-wash my hair if they are oil treated. I think it will work best on non-oily hair.

Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo 4

It does a satisfactory job of clearing dirt and cleansing oily scalp, but I just miss the squeaky clean sensation which I used to get from my Garnier shampoo.  However, I am expecting too much from a budget shampoo which is just not logical. The heavenly green apple aroma lingers in the hair for an hour or so. Moreover, my MIL also loves it as this shampoo just works fine and cleanses mildly her matured, grey, henna treated hair as well.  I just feel it won’t work on dandruff. It is an average shampoo which is best suitable for normal hair provided you do not have issues like frizz, dandruff, etc. Surprisingly, it does give shiny and bouncy effect, which is unbelievable. I would probably skip this shampoo for its average performance on my hair, but my MIL is loyal to Suave and she would re-purchase it again  and again as supply lasts.  She recommends it for all normal, henna-treated hair.

Let’s sum up the pros and cons:

Pros of Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo:

  • A dirt cheap shampoo which works well on normal and oily hair.
  • It works mildly on henna treated hair and also dry and frizzy hair.
  • Cleanses well in one wash; however, oily scalp might need 1-2 washes.
  • Yummy fruity aroma which lingers on for a few minutes after washing hair.
  • It does provide shiny, bouncy effect to hair temporarily.
  • You get 355 ml for less than a dollar.

Cons of Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo:

  • It won’t be effective as an anti-dandruff shampoo, though the company never claimed to do so.
  • Oil-treated hair might need 2-3 washes to get rid of sticky, oily scalp.

Apart from this, I am really surprised to notice that I actually do not hate this shampoo as much as I hate H&S. It works fair on my frizzy dry hair and oily scalp and it also works wonder on my MIL’s matured grey hair.  However, I would probably skip it especially after oil treatment, but my MIL is hooked to Suave and she highly recommends it to everyone with normal hair and who are searching for a decent shampoo which just mildly cleanses and gives a healthy bouncy effect to dry hair.
