Body Butter! The moment you hear, read or see any body butter product your memory will definitely get stuck on those sumptuous, heavenly and seasoned body butters from The Body Shop. Ah, I love almost all of them! After the huge success of these body butters, many cosmetic companies have launched their own versions. Not all companies or products have matched the quality and zests of TBS, however there are a few who did excel offering nice and flavourful experiences.
One of the products which caught my attention is Superdrug Lotus Flower and Cherry Blossom Body Butter. A wonderful combination of chic lotus flavour induced with bloomy cherry blossom. Superdrug is a UK based health and beauty retailer which has launched many other varieties.
Product Description:
Superdrug Body Butter has a delicate floral scent and a rich creamy texture which melts quickly into the skin upon application. Enriched with natural cherry blossom extract, will deeply moisturise and condition the skin, leaving it ultra-soft, smooth and smelling delightful.
This 200 ml body butter is of soothing lavender /mauve colour with a suave, velvety and soft quality. It is comes in a typical cylindrical jar which makes the users easing to dip the fingers into it for application (nevertheless it gets little messy when it gets into the nails).
Directions for Use:
Apply generously to the body and gently massage in to the skin until it has absorbed, paying particular attention to any dry areas such as knees, elbows and heels. Allow body butter to fully absorb before dressing.

My Experience with Superdrug Lotus Flower and Cherry Blossom Body Butter:
Well to be honest I hadn’t experimented with any other body butter apart from The Body Shop. When I purchased this one, I was not expecting anything great out of it; I just bought as I instantly liked its fragrance and I was curious to know how other brands work. Nevertheless, I am glad that it definitely performed well. It doesn’t leave your skin greasy, and positively it’s less expensive than other brands.
Personally, I like lotions, body butter and moisturisers which have beautiful fragrances. It works like a catalyst to persuade freshness into your regime. And this body butter does the same. It has a lovely scent and it is not overpowering, but it does stay throughout the day oozing subtle scent of lotus flower and cherry blossoms. It has Vitamin E and provitamin 5 which helps the skin to remain feathery, renewed and youthful. Just a coin size is required to leave the skin pappy, gentle and moisturised.
This is quite soft on the skin as I haven’t felt any irritation. Though the consistency of this product is thick, it is very easy to blend in; it melts into the skin. As it’s quite mildly fragranced, many beauties who do not prefer strong smell will like it. It can be used all year round and this will easily last for 3-4 months. Though this product has excelled well in the world of body butters, I should admit that this cannot beat the heavenly fragrance of The Body Shop’s Satsuma, Shea and Olive body butters. Yet, with the price I paid, I should admit that I am quite impressed by it and from now on I am more open to experiment with other body butters of various brands.
