I will be reviewing here the shade Morale, which was part of Illamasqua’s Autumn – winter 2011 collection “Theatre of Nameless.”  Illamasqua describes Morale as Rosed flush, shimmer finish.

When you take a first look at the blush, it looks a little purple, but when applied with a light hand, it gives a beautiful pink shade to the cheeks and the shimmer in it adds some glow too. The blush has golden and copperish shimmer in it, which is fine, not glittery or chunky. I am reaching for this particular blush for most of my evening/party makeups.

Artists’ Tips:

• This formulation can provide up to four to five variations of the same shade depending on how lightly or intensely it is applied.
• Can be used wet for a bolder colour pay-off.
• Apply by using a blusher brush or an angled blusher brush for more definition.

What I Liked about Illamasqua Powder Blusher Morale:

• The blush powder is soft, silky in texture.
• Blends easily without much effort.
• Staying power of the blush is superb.
• Pigmentation is intense and can be controlled depending upon your liking/preference. I use it with a light hand, and it gives me just the right (light pink) shade I prefer.
• Same shade can provide up to four to five variations depending on how lightly or intensely it is applied, so this will suit most skin tones.
• The black glossy packaging is lightweight and classy.
• The shimmer in it is not chunky/glittery and brings about a pretty glow, which I like a lot for my party makeup.
• Illamasqua products are not tested on animals.

What I Did Not Like about Illamasqua Powder Blusher Morale:

• Not easily available in India, one will need to order these online.
• Some of us may find it expensive.
• Contains parabens.

My overall experience with Illamasqua Nail varnishes has been great. They don’t chip, they dry very fast and they stay on your nails for long. In fact the best thing that I noticed about Illamasqua nail varnishes is that the glossy -mattish finish stays on for many days. Otherwise I see my nail paints generally losing their finish after a few days. These ones don’t. The texture of the nail paints is such that they make your nails look healthy.

Overall, very impressive.

If you have been following my blog from the very start, you would be aware that I badly wanted to try Illamasqua products. Well!! here I received some of the products from their latest Body Electrics collection.  This si for the first time they were shipping something to India and now that I have received the products in perfect condition, it would be a pleasant surprise for them as well. It took around 15 days for the products to reach and they came packed in bubble wraps, plastic pillows and a cute black box.

Illamasqua makes one of its kinds products. I have never seen liquid metals or liquid metal eye shadows in any brand that I have come across so far. If you know of any, please let me know. I am super excited to try out the products, will review the products soon. And now that the shipping is safe to India, I might give their blushes and eye pencils a try.

I have been applying my lipstick with an angled brush since weeks now and even my lame coloured lippies have got me compliments. :P  I don’t use this technique when I am rushing, of course. But once in a while when you are taking your sweet time to get ready, this lipstick technique works great. I have always hated lipstick brushes but after this, I try as much as I can to apply my lippy with an angled brush.

Regarding brush, I use a local anged brush(don’t remember the name )and  I wash it after every application with a baby shampoo. It barely takes me a minute.

Do try it out! Perfect pout is not difficult to achieve now.

Illamsqua artists have given a modern approach to makeup and it’s commendable. I hope they come to India soon.
