My Experience with Tarte Etch and Sketch Double-Ended Bamboo Liner Brush:

The thin liner brush is made up of sustainable bamboo and a metallic ferrule attached to synthetic vegan fibres at both ends. The thin delicate brush comes in Tarte’s signature blue packaging along with protective plastic hollows tightly fixed at both ends, making it easy to store. I truly appreciate the ordinary yet apt arrangement for protecting the thin brush ends through those hollows as I need not worry about the storage or mishandling while travelling.

Tarte Double-Ended Eyeliner Brush

Firstly, I am in love with this thin golden wooden bamboo liner brush with dual ends. Secondly, look at the brush ends – they are neither too thick nor overly thin, just perfect to work on any eye liners technique. Tarte launched this brush to work with their bestselling clay pot liners but I find it versatile enough to pair with any gel/liquid or even dry liners. I applied my Clinique cream liner with this brush and it simply blew me off with ease of control and the end result. Not to forget it never frays or sways while working on eyes whether you use it for the first time or 20th time. Moreover, I often use the ergonomic brush end for applying highlighters on the inner corners of eyes as well as for tight lining. Considering the brush fibres are very thin, delicate and synthetic I find them way gentle and non-itchy for my sensitive eyes. This is definitely a plus point for me as the bristles never accentuate my watery eyes nor do they ever feel scratchy or rough on my delicate eyes.

I have used this brush several times over a given time period and it has never failed to impress me with its ease of application, soft touch, perfect grip and performance. Initially, I was intimidated by the ergonomic design of angled brush end but once I got hang of it no wonder I use it more often than my regular brushes. Honestly, I always thought that I suck at winged eyeliners or even ordinary liners, but this brush completely changed my perception as I feel pretty confident while applying my eyeliners.

Now what makes me intrigued is that I have washed this brush several times and it has never shed the bristles or frayed. I am not sure how long the brush can hold its firm yet soft bristles but I am pretty sure it won’t give up easily and may last longer with care and proper handling. I would definitely get it again; in fact, I have already bought its back up. Needless to say, it is a must-have for every makeup beginners and even for masters, considering the quality and performance. Honestly, other than the packaging there is nothing I would want to change about this brush. I can just go on and on as this is the first time I am able to apply winged eyeliner with perfection.

  1. this sounds like such a fab brush. i also dont like these double ended brushes… but this one is soo cute. It reminds me of inglot 30T brush. Makes for a perfect eyeliner brush. Glad you found this one. Waiting to see lots of winged eyeliners. 🙂

    1. Hehe I am also so keen to share them soon, though i really don’t know if they suit my small eyes or not 🙁 most of the time I look funny but I know IMBB or MG is place where I can share my funny looks as well without hesitations so gearing up for makeup looks now 😉 😀
And Yeah thankfully they had these hollow plastic caps at both ends coz I was also not very convinced by idea of dual end brushes initially. And for the price it definitely works better than Bobbi brown liner brush I reviewed earlier 28 bucks gosh!!
