Make Your Own Tassel Earrings – Do It Yourself

Hello Ladies!

Hope you all are doing superbly well. ย At the onset, let me thank you all for the lovely comments, wishes and appreciations that you have showered on me, on my previous posts. ย Trust me, that means a lot to me!! Thanks a ton for enjoying my posts ๐Ÿ™‚ Today, I am back with another simple yet an interesting DIY; easy to make tassel earrings. ย A few days back, we had a theme party here at our place, a color palette – that was the theme. So, I thought of wearing a salwar suit of green and red combination, but to my dismay, I realized that I had no matching earrings, so I thought of making a pair for myself ๐Ÿ™‚ ย So, hereโ€™s a pictorial tutorial on how I did that.

Things Required:

1. Green and red colored spool of thread (or any number of colors of your choice).

2. Earring loops (these are easily available in the market).

3. Some beads.

4. ย  A pair of scissors.

5. ย  A thin comb (I had the hair coloring comb, so I took that).

Procedure:

Step 1:

Starting with the green color thread, wrap it around your fingers (as shown in the image) for a good number of times. The more the better results it will give.

Step 2:

(Tip: Itโ€™s better if you can get hold of silk thread. It will give a shiny look).

Step 3:

Pull it out from your fingers and place it on an even surface.

Step 3:

Repeat the same step with the red thread, and after you have pulled it out from your fingers, place it on top of the green bundle of thread.

Step 4:

Join both of them and secure one of its ends with similar color thread.

(Tip: Remember to leave the ends of the thread longer as you will need those to tie the tassel to the loop).

Step 5:

Cut the other end with scissors.

Step 6:

Trim the ends of the tassel to give it an even look.

Step 7:

Comb the tassel to uniformly mix the colored threads.

Step 8:

The next step is to attach it to the loop. Tie the tassel to the loop with the thread and then place a bead over it.

Step 9:

Attach the earring hook to complete it.

Step 10:

Repeat the above mentioned steps for the other earring as well.

That’s it, you are ready with your very own tasseled earring!! Hope you liked the tutorial, and enjoy making one for yourself ๐Ÿ™‚
