The Body Shop Apple Blossom Body Lotion Review

This is again one of the products I have bought during the 50% off sale. There is a mall close to my house and I go there so often, that the security guys at the mall recognize me. Of course I go there to watch movies as well and also to get my favorite dessert.

My Experience with The Body Shop Apple Blossom Body Lotion:

Winters do bring in hard time for the skin, even though it’s not too cold in Bangalore, the skin doesn’t like it too much. I wonder what skin woes the girls in the north would be going through. So I picked up the apple blossom shower gel (reviewed here) and just being greedy at 50% discount, I picked up the lotion as well. The blend is neither thick nor runny. Consistency-wise, it is pretty decent and the texture is decently creamy and absorbs quickly. It does smell fresh, very green apple fruity-kinds, which I like.

After a few minutes, I checked my arms if the scent stays; I literally had to take deep breaths to get the slightest hint as to what am I wearing. The silage is quite low. The fragrance is definitely less fruity than the shower gel. When it comes to moisturizing, it’s one of the worst lotions I have ever used (still better than Enliven). I bought this last week and I can see less than 1/3rd is left in the container. I literally have to take a huge amount of the product to even get away from the dryness on the skin. My skin is moisturized for less than 5 hours, the itchiness and dryness starts post that. So I started using some bath oil during shower, then using this lotion to keep the dryness at bay. But if I am paying Rs. 795 (if not bought on discount) I expect the lotion to do its job alone rather than having a moisture cover from another product.

I used this after using the apple blossom shower gel and the gel does a better job to keep away the dryness. I wonder what was going on in The Body Shop R&D department when they were coming out with this. For me, the brand is about good products especially in the bath and body care range. For me, this is the worst product from this brand that I have used. Overall no moisturizing, skin is not left soft and supple!

• Smells fresh and apple fruity.

My Dislikes regarding The Body Shop Apple Blossom Body Lotion:

• Does not deliver what it claims.
• Very bad moisturizing.
• Does not leave skin soft or supple.
• Skin feels dry within a few hours of application.

Would I recommend The Body Shop Apple Blossom Body Lotion?

Skip this even after discount. You can get a lot of better lotions in Rs. 400/-

Would I re-purchase The Body Shop Apple Blossom Body Lotion?
