The Body Shop Born Lippy Lychee Shimmer Lip Balm Review

Lychee is one of my most favorite fruit and when I spotted this lip balm in the Lychee fragrance I picked it up immediately. Here is the review on the same.

My Experience with The Body Shop Born Lippy Lychee Shimmer Lip Balm:

The packaging is simple and cute. Twist up style is definitely preferred over tub packaging any day. The transparent cap shuts with a click and can be easily carried in the makeup pouch. The price, ingredients are mentioned on a sticker on the body of the lip balm.

The texture is gritty due to the shimmers present but this is not something I was expecting from a brand like The Body Shop. Also the balm applies whitish on the lips and looks so gross that I have not been able to apply this directly as a regular balm. I apply it on top of a matte lip color which makes it slightly wearable.

The hydrating factor is also missing as the balm would only sit on the lips and not get absorbed. So the lips are only coated with a waxy substance and not getting benefitted from it. I feel like a fool every time I use this, but just because it is a lip balm, I would use it up anyways.
