Hello buddies!
How are you my friends? Hope all of you enjoyed the weekend; I also had great fun enjoying with fellow mums while my spouse looked after my kid. I must say that our India trip certainly worked as an eye-opener for both of us & certainly made us believe in the power of wedding nuptial knots. We both came across many big-small realizations for which we would always be grateful to this foreign land. Firstly, for motivating us (hubby-wife) to live our monotonous life with full enthusiasm and zeal without encroaching each other’s entity & identity.
I really feel great when hubby encourages me to hang around with girl friends, take day off from household work/kitchen while volunteers to babysit Aadya, explore kitchen etc with no complaints or cribbing about ‘a traditional Indian woman’s’ responsibilities. It may seem little childish, but it means a lot for a wife, mother and above all, a woman. Now, we feel great bond, respect and love for each other and hence, I would always thank this country for allowing us to be what we always wanted to unlike what others expected us to be. “We should love our self first before expecting others to love us” and there is no harm in being little mean.
Anyway, let’s move on to my today’s beauty treasure from The Body Shop which helped me look confident with those soft, youthful hands all through my trip. However, I am not much impressed to continue with it. So, let’s read on further to know more about The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cream!

My Experience with the Body Shop Coconut Hand Cream:
Well, I found it better than my previous The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Hand Cream as this one took good care of my hands against harsh climatic conditions. The packaging seem similar to previous The Body Shop Hand Cream except that the tube color is in synchronization with other coconut flavored products.
The cream seems little thick white emulsion which gets easily absorbed inside my skin leaving behind no trace of grease or oil, thankfully. However, I did feel sweating from my hands after few hours of usage which might be aggravated during summers, I fear. I find it perfect for not so cool and not so hot weather and not for too harsh one. Moreover, this hand cream might be way mild for West Coast windy winters while it may accentuate sweat during peak summers.
Though, I am impressed how it faired on my skin throughout our trip. To feel sorry, my hands suffered serious damage upon subjected to multiple tasks throughout day which involved washing, cleaning apart from exposure to chemicals in the form of dishwashing liquid or detergent. Thanks to this hand cream, which worked as overnight relief for my poor hands, I started it with bedtime routine and it really helped me to wake up with soft, youthful skin.
I can swear by its healing power as it transformed my cracked skin into more soft and presentable. It does not help with damaged skin around nail cuticles, but it certainly helped me to achieve manageable skin within a week. I wonder I had no time to look after my skin even as I had lost all hope of getting back charm of beautiful hands as well, to be honest. 😛
But, this hand cream truly proved to be a savior in treating my wilted skin which was showing the signs of under care/no care and excess work pressure. However, we need to be consistent and use it after every chore in order to enjoy fruitful results which seem too tough, especially in a typical daughter in law’s life! 😛
It temporary heals our skin and once we skip using it, we might find our skin in same old pathetic conditions. I used to wake up with soft youthful hands and by night my hands used to look same like any “kaam wali bai”. I had to skip it during hot warm days while working during day time and/or prior of going for finger scanning tests as it accentuates sweating and my hands are exceptionally known to be moist & cold all the time due to excess sweating.
I feel it will work best for people blessed with already beautiful hands and who are lucky enough to skip those tedious household tasks which cause direct damage to our hands! I might get it again, though I am more impressed with Tocca’s hand products. But, I will definitely recommend this particular hand cream to every beauty especially for budget constraints.
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cream:
• A lightweight hand cream infused with the goodness of coconut and shea butter.
• It dissipates quickly with gentle massage strokes on hands leaving behind no trace of grease and/or oil.
• It does provide ample moisture for decent hours which helps in combating the after effects of dry weather.
• It healed my dry, scaly skin which was showing signs of under care.
• Within a week of usage, my hands were more soft and appeared youthful even after continuous day time work and exposure to sunlight, soil etc.
• It also treated my dry, scaly parched skin and made it manageable soft.
• Quite budget friendly, user friendly and travel friendly.
Cons of The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cream:
• It might accentuate sweating from hands.
• It gives temporary relief from dryness, dehydrated and/or under cared skin.
IMBB Rating:
3.9/5
Conclusion:
Well, I find it decent for normal weather and might consider it for the same. However, it is not meant for harsh weather and dry, parched skin which need constant attention and care. I would recommend it to all gals blessed with beautiful hands; it will definitely help to maintain beauty and youthful glow of your skin all year round.
