The Body Shop Fijian Water Lotus Fragrance Mist Review

Hello all,

I had taken a sabbatical from all makeup related stuff. No buying, no using and unfortunately no writing (This was what I missed the most). What better way to return to the old ways than writing for IMBB.  I was gifted The Body Shop – Fijian Water Lotus Fragrance Mist by one of my relatives returning from the US. It is still unavailable in India.

The Body Shop quotes: “Sun, sea, sand, palm trees… Sounds idyllic, right? Well, now you can escape to your own tropical paradise with the lush, exotic scent of the NEW Fijian Water Lotus range from The Body Shop. Revitalizing, refreshing and calming – this is bliss in a bottle.”  Escape to the island paradise of Fiji… where we discovered a breathtakingly beautiful water lotus. We carefully hand-picked these flowers and created this delicate and unique scent with water lotus notes and frangipani accords for a breeze of fragrance straight from the Pacific.

  • Fresh aquatic-floral scent.
  • Light and refreshing.
  • Layer with other Fijian Water Lotus products to build the fragrance

What I Think about The Body Shop Fijian Water Lotus Fragrance Mist:

The fragrance mist comes in a transparent glass bottle with a grey plastic lid. The bottle is quite heavy to carry around. The labeling is in the shades of blue with an island, coconut trees and the water lotus representing the Fijian islands.  I prefer wearing the mist all over my body right after the shower which makes it last longer. On spraying, it feels sharp, almost like a mild acetone scent, but settles down into a light and floral scent.

The Fijian Water Lotus is a tender mixture of the sensual lotus scent with the sweet citrusy mandarins. I generally tend towards citrusy floral scents and this one definitely fits my requirements. The mist stays on for a really long time unlike the other mists from The Body Shop. It stays on for a good 6 hours before it disappears. It brings on a certain kind of freshness when I spray it.  I really think that this one is more of a summery mist rather than one to be used in the winters. I guess I will have to wait for the sunny days to come back.

What I Like about The Body Shop Fijian Water Lotus Fragrance Mist:

  • The mist stays on longer that the regular mists available, which is a good 6 hours.
  • I do not need to top it up very often.
  • I love the combination of the floral and citrusy scents that it settles down into.
  • It lifts up my mood when I spray it on and brings a kind of freshness.
  • It contains natural and organic ingredients.

What I Do Not Like about The Body Shop Fijian Water Lotus Fragrance Mist:

  • It comes in a glass bottle which is heavy and difficult to carry around.
  • On spraying, it smells like acetone.
  • It takes about a couple of minutes to settle down into the floral citrusy smell.

IMBB Rating:

4/5

Though I love the scent of the mist, it is definitely not meant for winter wear. I will have to wait for the summer to use it.
