The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla Flower Eau De Toilette Review

I hope all of your New Year parties have been great. I enjoyed catching up with my close friends and also the New Year party at my office. I guess some of you have rushed to TBS stores; there was 50% off on some of their products :D. Today, I am going to review Madagascan Vanilla Flower EDT from TBS. The shower gel and body lotion from the same range have already been reviewed on IMBB. Read on to find how I liked it.

My Experience with The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla Flower Eau De Toilette:
As any other girl out there, I love fragrances: P. Let it be flowery, fruity, musky, woody, everything should be in my “fragrance collection” :D. Also everything that has “vanilla” is a must have for me. I have ordered Madagascan Vanilla Flower EDT and its body lotion from TBS India website. Believe me, the delivery was so quick. It reached Bangalore (from Delhi) in 2 days and in a very good package.
Coming to the EDT, it comes in a lengthy transparent glass bottle with vanilla flowers imprinted on it. The EDT is from “Scents of the World” range. To describe the fragrance, it is a mix of vanilla, flowery and musky smell. My sister says this EDT is little close to Dior Hypnotic (but I think, it is too much to compare TBS with Dior :P). The perfume is not too strong and overpowering. It is a complete girly/feminine fragrance. When we compare the fragrances of body lotion and EDT, obviously EDT is on the higher side. The fragrance lingers for almost 4 to 5 hours. The first time I wore it to office, I got so many compliments 😀
I need to sniff myself after 5 hours to feel the fragrance. I love to layer it, so that I am perfumed*blushing* for good 7 to 8 hours. I use M and S vanilla body wash, Madagascan vanilla body lotion and this EDT, so that I completely smell vanilla-ish and flowery all day. I am in love with this range and it can be used as an everyday fragrance. I need to try blending it with another fragrance. I just hope it would work wonders. The EDT comes in a glass bottle (as most EDTs), so some times I need to be more careful while handling it. I already broke it once 🙁 However, I think the bottle is travel friendly and easy to carry in my handbag.
Pros of The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla Flower Eau De Toilette:
- Amazing fragrance (5/5).
- Decent staying power of 4 to 5 hours (4.5/5)
- Packaging is pretty good, like most other EDTs (4/5)
- Easily available. I found the same range in three TBS stores (4.5/5)
- Just 2 to 3 sprays are enough for a single use (4/5).
Cons of The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla Flower Eau De Toilette:
- Price may be a concern for some (3/5) (unless you are lucky like me to get it on 50% off :P)
- Less quantity (50 ml) for the price (3/5).
- Ingredients list is missing (this may be because I ordered the product online).
Do I Repurchase The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla Flower Eau De Toilette?
Yes, this would remain my “bestie” at least for some months. I would love to buy body mist from the same range.

i felt so lucky when i grabbed the last bottle in the TBS store. i had bought the perfume oil last year from the same range and i loved it so much that i couldn’t think of letting go EDT from my hands too. :p 😀 😀
I tried mixing this fragrance with ” All good scents Love and Joy” thinking both are floral but it failed badly. I think it would only go with some other light floral fragrance.
