The Body Shop Strawberry Born Lippy Pot Lip Balm Review

Hey IMBB sisters!

It feels so great to be back on IMBB after a long break. This time, I am reviewing a lip balm by the very popular brand The Body Shop. After trying out a dozen of different lip balms by reputed brands, I finally got my hands on Born Lippy Pot Lip Balm and I pretty much expected it to turn out like the others – just a superficial lip tint with not much benefits. The product comes in a little transparent 10 ml plastic pot with a screw to open lid. The product is deep strawberry in colour with a slight glaze to it. The balm is thick and creamy in consistency. It needs to be applied with your fingers. It is travel friendly and extremely light weight. Fits right into your purse. You need the tiniest amount for a perfect spread on your lips.

After having tried and tested numerous lip balms, I stumbled upon this product which was on sale and it was a great bargain since it is from such a reputed brand. The packaging is quite simple and easy to use. The lid is screw to open and the product is bright red in colour. It needs to be applied by our fingers, which I find a bit unhygienic, but it’s okay as long as you are the only one using it and you have clean fingers. It has a sweet, fruity smell and glides on beautifully on the skin. It has a slight red tint and a lovely glaze on application. It is definitely moisturizing on the lips and lasts good 3 – 4 hours.

I use it as a bedtime routine and it doesn’t stain anything. The Strawberry Fraise has a tasty strawberries that makes me want to keep using it again. It is not as sticky as lip glosses and not too greasy either. It also works great under matte lipsticks to give them a great glossy finish. When applied by itself, it gives a natural healthy finish to the lips.
