The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist Review

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist

By Himshikha Arya

Hello Everyone!

The weather is finally getting nice and cool here in Chennai, since monsoons are on here and will continue till this month ends. No one enjoys pleasant weather as much as a Chennai-ite does, trust me 😛 Also this is my favorite part of the year, because it is such a festive time for everyone all over the world.

Coming back to business, today I am going to review the Body Shop Body Mist from their Vineyard Peach range. I bought this product along with two of their shower gels, one of which was from the Vineyard Peach range, a few months back from their official website at a good discount. They frequently run promotional offers on their website, so you guys should check them out. But since it was an online purchase, I had to completely rely on the descriptions and did not get a chance to have a sniff of the scent before purchasing it. Let’s see if that worked out in my favor.

Product Description:

Our Vineyard Peach takes on a fresh new form. Spray this light scented body mist all over your body for a gentle burst of fruitiness. It’s irresistible. Fresh peach fragrance. Light and fresh. Use all over body. Contains peach extract.

Price:

It retails for INR 795 for 100 ml (3.3 US FL OZ). However I bought it for INR 636 due to a promotional offer on the Body Shop India website.

Ingredients:

Alcohol Denat. (Solvent/Diluent), Aqua/Water/Eau (Solvent/Diluent), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Prunus Persica Extract/Prunus Persica (Peach) Extract (Natural Additive), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Denatonium Benzoate (Denaturant).

My experience with The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist:

I have always liked the packaging of Body shop mists. They look nice and pretty in the glass packaging. Also the size is ideal, but it is not practical to carry this mist around in your bag, due to the glass packaging. I prefer to carry my body mists from Bath and Body Works or VS in my bag.

Now coming to the scent of this mist, this literally smells like peaches! If you love the smell of peaches you are going to fall in love with it. But if you don’t, then there is absolutely nothing in the fragrance of this mist that is going to make you fall for it. Unfortunately, I fall into the second category. Honestly when I read peaches while buying the product, I thought of the Marks and Spencer peach hand cream which I absolutely love the scent of, but I realized that there was a hint of floral in that as well. But this one is a true peach scent.

Having said that, it is not that I completely hate the scent of the product, I find it average and I don’t mind using it up as my daily office wear scent, because it is quite light and fruity. But it is definitely not something I would pick to spray on, if I want to smell special and lovely. However, I know that fragrances are very personal and another person might just be head over heels in love with it. I think I personally like floral scents or fruity-floral scents more than a pure fruity scent.

Coming to the longevity of this body mist, it fails to last on me for more than a couple of hours, just like any other body shop mist would. At the end of the day, it completely disappears on me. There is definitely a need to re-apply this in the second half of the day. However layering does help, I use the vineyard peach shower gel to increase the impact of the scent and also make it last longer.

I am not impressed with this product and may not pick body mists in an online purchase again. I would suggest that you do sniff it at the Body Shop store if you plan to pick it up.

Pros of The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist:

  • It smells truly of Peaches, no kidding. Peach lovers are bound to fall head over heels in love with this product.
  • The packaging looks lovely in a pretty peach bottle. Looks really nice on the dressing table.
  • It claims to contain peach extract and community fair trade essence from Sugar cane. Hence I feel it is safe to spray it directly on the skin.
  • Layering this with the shower gel from the same range makes the scent strong and last longer.

Cons of The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist:

  • I personally don’t love this scent. It is too peachy/ fruity for my liking.
  • The glass packaging makes it a little impractical to carry it around in the bag.
  • The lasting power of the mist is quite poor. You will need to re-apply it often.

Will I Repurchase The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist?

No, I wouldn’t because I am not fond of this particular scent, but I love their other scents, especially the Japanese cherry blossom range. It is my favorite. Does anyone else love it too? 🙂 Fruity scent lovers can probably give this a try or if you have loved another product from this range, then maybe this is something you would like too.

  1. I have tried this range – body lotion, scrub, etc. I think the mist has a milder scent, but totally love tBS mists 🙂 monsoons in Chennai, wow, the weather must be so pleasant 🙂

    1. Hi Jomol! I haven’t tried other products from this range so I don’t know how this compares with them. But I prefer floral scents so this one dint impress me much. I love the satsuma range from TBS though! 🙂
And yes it is raining cats and dogs here in Chennai! We are getting a whiff of winter which we don’t get otherwise 😛

    1. Thanks for liking the review Arpita. I wrote this one 😛 Yeah this is not one of their best body mists. Try their satsuma, vanilla or shea one.

  2. Hey himshikha.. I bought the satsuma edt recently.. It has also the same fruity sweet fragrance.. I had tried this one toi at the store.. Its good but not that fascinating… Great review…
