My Experience with The Face Shop Pearl Essential Mask Sheet:
Like always, The Face Shop Mask sachet consists of a single, white, cotton mask sheet, saturated with liquid goodness. This mask smells slightly like alcohol and it is quite perfume-y. A generic complaint, the fit isn’t too great, but things can be worked out. Once I put this on my cleansed face, I notice a tingling sensation for a couple of minutes before it subsided.
There’s a calming and cooling experience for the entire duration of wear. Once I took off the mask after about 25 minutes, I did see faint redness on my cheeks and nose, which disappeared in a few minutes. As with all their masks, I took the remaining liquid in the sachet and massaged it onto my face. There is a slight sticky feeling initially, but this disappears once the liquid is absorbed by the skin.
So far, all the masks I have used by The Face Shop have given me immediate glowing results. However, this one failed to do so. My face only seemed moisturized and hydrated. I don’t want to jump onto the bandwagon and say it’s bad, but I think this particular mask requires multiple uses before I can see effective results. Half the instructions on the sachet is in Korean, so I searched on the net about it and found that this needs to be used thrice a week! Well, based on this slightly disappointing experience, I don’t think I’ll stop trying out The Face Shop products. They have many great masks that are fantastic, but sadly this isn’t one of them.
Pros of The Face Shop Pearl Essential Mask Sheet:
- Makes skin hydrated and moisturized.
- Skin feels soft and supple.
- Paraben free.
Cons of The Face Shop Pearl Essential Mask Sheet:
- The fit of the mask.
- Availability.
- Doesn’t show brightening results immediately.
- Multiple uses are necessary (at least 3 times a week).
- Contains alcohol, which may irritate sensitive skin beauties.
- Some may not like the perfume-y smell.

Would I Repurchase The Face Shop Pearl Essential Mask Sheet?
I don’t think I will buy this soon, but maybe I will buy 3/4 of these together to try it in a week and see if there is any difference. There are many other masks by them that give results in a much shorter span of time. Give those a shot first (check out the reviews on IMBB), and then once you get bored, you can try this and let me know if it worked otherwise for you.

Umaimah, I like such sheet masks, especially in summers. But three in a week to see effective results is a bit too much :((
