My Experience with The Face Shop The Solution Smoothing Face Mask:

It comes in a white pouch with a blue test tube printed over it. The pouch is hygienic and easy to carry around. All the details are nicely printed on the packaging but most of them are in Korean language, so I can’t read them all. This sheet mask can be used just one time. The mask was nicely folded inside the packaging. This The Solution range has a similar scent; this one smells quite sweet and fresh.

The Solution range is a little different from the other sheet mask ranges by The Face Shop. This range has a silvery glossy plastic film inside the packaging. This film is of the same size as the sheet mask. It has been described as ‘Air Sheet’ by the brand and yes it is a very lightweight and semi-transparent white mask. It is also very thin – only 0.21 mm – and that’s why it feels super light on the skin. The film helps to hold this fine mask easily.

This sheet mask was fully dipped in a plain white moisturizing slippery gel that glided smoothly and felt very light on the skin. I think the quantity was enough to cover up my whole face and still the gel was left inside the pouch. The size of the sheet mask was perfect for my oval face. It was not like the other masks I have used. It fit nicely and the gel easily got stuck to my face. The mask was even easy to remove. This mask felt very lightweight for my oily skin.

I kept this mask for around 20-25 minutes on the face. Then, I massaged the gel on the face for around 5 minutes and rinsed it off. The sheet felt very nice on the face. The sheet was so full of moisturizer that it started to penetrate into my skin nicely after a few minutes. My face looked very smooth and soft after I removed the mask. They’ve described that this mask has some exfoliating solution but were are no exfoliating particles in the mask. It could not exfoliate my skin but the hydrating lotion made my skin very smooth and supple. It looked quite fresh and moisturized.

This mask is not a deeply hydrating mask for super dry skin but it provided a decent amount of hydration to my oily skin without making it oily. I always love such face masks. Still, if you want extra nourishment then you might need a moisturizer after using this. It smoothened the rough texture of my skin but I am not sure how it will work on super dry skin. The effect of all the masks from this range is quite similar. I did not find ny difference.

This mask provided a fresh and smooth skin and added a healthy glow to it. This mask is good enough for instant brightness as it added life to my dull skin. But it cannot make your skin glow much. Also, the effect does not last long; it stays for one day maximum and then goes away. This mask has a lot of chemicals, hence I do not think one should apply it regularly.

I do not think I need to use a chemical-laden mask just to get smooth skin. It does not have any parabens but it does contain alcohol. Yet, it didn’t break me out. Overall, this is a good mask for oily skin. It makes skin soft and smooth without making it oily. But I would prefer it only for instant smoothness as its results are not long-lasting.

⦁ Requires multiple uses.
⦁ Not a super moisturising mask.

I am not sure about repurchasing this mask yet. But you can try it if you’re looking for something like this.
