Tips and Toes Lip Liner- Caramel Truffle Review

I shall be talking about a lip liner in today’s review. I have a whole lot of lipsticks but I have just 2-3 lip liners with me. Considering the fact that they do make a difference in the application of lipstick, I am planning to buy more of these. Anyway, moving on to the product in question, I got it online a few months back. Let us take a detailed review of the same.

INR 175, I got it for INR 138 from an e-commerce site for 1.14 gm.

My Take on Tips and Toes Lip Liner- Caramel Truffle:

It comes as a sleek wooden pencil with a transparent cap. The cap fits onto the pencil nicely. The pencil and cap both are sturdy. The shade of the lip liner is put in the shape of the band at the back of the pencil. The colour at the back and the actual colour of the lip liner are exactly the same, so it will be easier to buy the product since they don’t have testers (I saw a few of these in the market and the SA didn’t have any testers to show).  The only problem is that it needs to be sharpened quite frequently owing to its creamy texture.

The pencil is soft and creamy, does not pull or tug the lips. It gives a good outline to the lips and stays for 2-3 hours after which I noticed slight smudging. I am not very impressed with that fact considering we put lip liners to stop smudging/ bleeding of the lipstick and this lip liner itself smudged after 3 hours.

The colour is deep maroon which goes well with brown and maroon shades of lipsticks contrary to the name, Caramel Truffle, wherein I expected it to be a brownish chocolate shade.

It works well as lipstick too since it is creamy, it can be topped with a clear gloss. There is no fragrance whatsoever.

Summarizing the pros and cons:

Pros of Tips and Toes Lip Liner- Caramel Truffle:

• Beautiful maroon shade.
• Transparent cap and the shade band at the end of the pencil helps to locate the pencil easily.
• Keeps lipstick intact for 2-3 hours.
• Soft and creamy texture.
• Does not tug or pull the lips.

Cons of Tips and Toes Lip Liner- Caramel Truffle:

• Smudges after 3 hours of application.
• Requires constant sharpening as the tip becomes blunt soon owing to the creamy texture.
• Ingredients list is not mentioned.  Also, the website does not show this product.
• The sharpener could have been provided in the cap.

Will I Repurchase Tips and Toes Lip Liner- Caramel Truffle?

Not really, smudging factor has put me off.

Do I Recommend Tips and Toes Lip Liner- Caramel Truffle?

No.
