Tony Moly Color Fix Lip Crayon – 02 Fuchsia Slip Review

Hi guys!

I hauled this product probably 5 months back and I couldn’t write a review on this simply because I couldn’t find a sharpener big enough to sharpen this crayon. Finally, found one big enough at Shibuya’s Forever 21 store and could finally start using this again. So, was this worth all the effort? Let’s find out!

Packaging:
This product comes in a chubby stick pencil format and you have to sharpen to access the lip product. This is my biggest problem with the pencil, because as you start to run out of the (sharpened) product, the surrounding black pencil part holding the lip product is very rough and can scratch your lips. So right off the bat, I can tell you I despise the packaging. I wish they had put this product in some other form.

Shade:
The shade is a fuchsia pink and is called 02 Fuchsia Slip. Usually fuchsia pinks on my tan skin tone look very bright and in-your-face, but this one is very wearable and suitable for everyday.

Consistency/Pigmentation/Finish:
Another thing I am not a fan of is the consistency. It is of sticky/tacky lip gloss type consistency. It is pretty sheer but buildable, which I really appreciate because you can control the amount of pigment you want. You can apply a thin layer and have it be understated. So I really like the pigmentation aspect, but not the sticky consistency. The finish of this one is quite glossy, so I think it is a lip gloss in a lip crayon format.

Staying Power:
Generally, any lip product with sticky consistency tends to linger on your lips for a longer time, but this one is not so great in the staying power department. I find I have to touch up the colour every 3 hours or so. It does transfer and disappear if you eat or drink. During application, the product goes on a bit patchy.

• Sheer but buildable pigmentation.
• Beautiful shade – will flatter a lot of skin tones.
• Glossy finish.

Cons of Tony Moly Color Fix Lip Crayon – 02 Fuchsia Slip:

• Very sticky consistency.
• Terrible packaging.
• Not long lasting.
• During application, the product goes on a bit patchy.
