TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo Review

Since ages, I was always hooked to L’Oreal Paris Elvive Hair Care Range. From shampoos, conditioners to masque and hair treatment products, I have constantly enjoyed using them. However, after getting extremely good reviews about TRESemme online and from my co-workers, I thought of trying a range from this brand which sounds safe, simple and easy.

When you talk about hair treatments, the first thing which comes in my mind is Coconut. Blame it on our childhood days; our hair had a constant companion in school or even in holidays – coconut oil. And even today, I prefer coconut oil for application or head massaging. So, when I was checking TRESemme shampoos, I found TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo infused with coconut milk and aloe vera the most suitable product to experiment. So, here is the review –

TRESemme Botanique range is formulated with botanical blends which are free from parabens and dyes to bring out hair’s natural beauty. The collection is made of three different systems – Nourish & Replenish, Damage Recovery and Detox & Restore catering to different needs. Nourish & Replenish range consists of shampoo, conditioner, mask and a hydrating mist. Currently, I have purchased shampoo, but after trying shampoo, I sincerely don’t mind trying the other products.

My Experience with TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo:

The shampoo is packed in a nice bottle green cylindrical dispenser bottle, with a black flip flop lid. Personally, I like the shape of the bottle, as it is very convenient to hold it with wet hands during the application. The plastic used is not very soft and silky, which is a benefit as it does not tend to slip over. Well, the first thing that came into my mind while buying the product was the colour of the shampoo would be white (as it has coconut milk). I know it’s not that important to mention but that’s how our minds have stereotyped a few notions! Anyway, it is clear and transparent and has a sticky and light consistency.

The smell of the shampoo is very fresh and soothing. Yes, you can smell a sweet burst of coconut and once you start applying to the hair, you can also then smell tinges of aloe vera. It creates enough foamy lather and not much quantity is required for one use. As it has coconut milk in it, the lathers turns a little creamy. The smell is not that strong, but the whole washroom is filled with the fresh aroma of coconut. It’s not that sticky on hair and just a simple rinse is needed to get away from the shampoo. After the wash, my hair smelt nice, and it left my hair feeling soft, light and clean.

The shampoo has two remarkably conditioning ingredients – Coconut milk and aloe vera which are known to treat dry scalp and dandruff and helps to stimulate hair growth. My scalp is neither dry nor oily, so I found the result quite suitable for my kind of hair. I really felt my hair soft and fresh while drying my damp hair. The smell remained in my hair for quite some time. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week and I must admit that the moisture in my hair retained quite well. (For a couple of washes, I used only this shampoo without a conditioner to know how it works)

I do have wavy hair and my constant concern is my hair turns frizzy, thanks to the weather here in London. I do use serums and straightening sprays and these products does control the frizz up to an extent. Anyway, I should thank this shampoo for the simple reason – my hair remains soft up to 2-3 days. I have been using for almost 2 weeks now and though there is not much improvement in my hair texture and hair fall, but I am glad that there is no damage either.

The nourishing property of coconut milk and aloe vera does the job, but I would at least probe a little more shine to my hair. Overall, I liked the product; yes, it’s not a complete hair care shampoo but it leaves hair soft, fresh, clean and controls frizz.

Pros of TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo:

• Has an amazingly lovely smell

• Silicone Free
• Lathers well
• Makes hair soft, clean and smooth
• Reduces frizz
• Retains moisture

Cons of TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo:

• I didn’t notice a good shine in my hair.
