TRESemme Smooth Argan Oil Salon Smooth Serum Review

Hello everyone,

I have this habit of picking up serum that claims to control frizz – it does not matter which brand! Though I am not a big fan of TRESemme products, still I thought of giving this a try, simply because “frizz control” is something that allures me like crazy. Read on to know how it fared for me 🙂

Rs. 475/- for 30 ml.

My Experience with TRESemme Smooth Argan Oil Salon Smooth Serum:

The packaging, as you can see from the pictures, is simple with lots of information on the outer paper carton and on the body as well. The body is plastic with a translucent cap, quantity is 30 ml, so very much travel friendly. The body and cap are sturdy enough to avoid any leakage. It is so lightweight that you can slip it in your everyday makeup pouch as well.

The texture is thicker compared to regular serums, but thankfully, it is not sticky. On damp hair, the serum absorbs well without leaving any sticky or slimy residue on the palms.  Two to three pumps are enough for my shoulder-length hair; the quantity can be adjusted accordingly while applying on dry hair.

The serum does not alter the volume of the hair which is pretty common with serums that fight frizz. Many a times, I have fallen into the trap, so I was a bit apprehensive with this one; and I was happily proven wrong.

Now, coming to the effectiveness of the serum, I would rate it 3/5 as I have used better frizz-control serums. Though they are higher-priced ones, but they are more effective, no doubt!

I can use it up as a regular everyday serum without expecting much from it. Definitely not for the days when I want my hair to look fabulous. This one has a feeble mild salon-like smell to it which stays for about 2 hours before vanishing. This one is an average product and definitely not HG material. • Does not weigh down hair.

• Not very effective in controlling frizz.
• Availability.

Would I Repurchase TRESemme Smooth Argan Oil Salon Smooth Serum?
I would not repurchase as I like trying out new stuff and I did not like this one that much. If you are looking for a serum for regular use, you might try this out, nothing that cannot be missed though.
