Update on Saree Contest and Some Suggestions!

Hi All,

Here are some of the current high scorers in our ‘Win a $200 Saree‘ contest:

Hehehe, Scared? Lost all hopes of winning this contest? Well, press the ‘DON’T PANIC’ button. You all can achieve a similar score. Let me show you how. 🙂

First of all, this post is NOT for ladies who are entering the contest only to display their dresses. This post is for the challengers who want to fight and win those sarees. Folks, it’s a CONTEST! Not a fancy parade.

Here’s what you can do to win the prize:

1. Asking Your Friends on Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon and Digg: Suppose you ask 10 of your best friends to vote for you. Each of them in turn asks his or her 10 friends to vote for you, who further ask their 10 friends, and so on. You get the picture. If you multiple 10 by 10 by 10, you will undertsand the phenomenon you can produce.

2. Use all Four Social Media Sites: So, you haven’t been paying attention to Digg or Stumbleupon? I got news for you- Rupa, one of the leaders, successfully employed all of them. I am producing a snapshot here:

You can do the same. Don’t bank only on facebook or Twitter (some are not even using Twitter also) to get votes for you. Create Digg and Stumbleupon accounts and get started!

3. Emails: Well, everyone has loads of contacts in their emails. They just haven’s used them ever. Get your address book out and email all your contacts asking them to vote.

4. Promotion on Blog: Write a post and get your blog readers to vote for you. This has an added benefit too. You will get your readers involved and unite them in a common cause!

Only 4 days left for the contest to end. Just don’t sit there and watch others taking the prize.

            I bought 3 tops,a skirt,those aladdin pants that naina wore and some stuff from colorbar 😀 😀

    i dont mean to sound rude or mean or so but like I counted the votes few people. It depicts more on ur statistics sheet. Is it like ur getting votes but we cant see all of them? because like many of my friends using tweeting n stumble upon but it doesnt show up ?:)

      2. Hi Shweta/ Insiya,

        As far as I know, the twitter and Digg button show count a little late but they DO show the final count. We tested the button ourselves and they seem to be working fine. Anyhow, I shall have a look again. But if you look at Rupa’s stumbles and diggs you can see that the buttons are working. 🙂
