Today, I have got another liner from Urban Decay for you all, but this time, it is a lip liner. 😀 Let us find out if it’s same as the 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil in Minx or is better than that. 😀 It is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on lip Pencil in Catfight. The lipstick of the same name has already been reviewed on IMBB. 🙂

My Experience with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil – Catfight:

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on lip Pencil comes in 17 shades and you can get most of the corresponding shades in the UD revolution lipstick range. I bought the shade “Catfight.” The shade Catfight is a bright fuchsia pink with red undertones. The color is really bright and beautiful.

The liner comes in a cardboard box packing which has a color-coded sticker on it. The color of the pencil is similar to the shade of the liner. The lid and bottom of the pencil is in gunmetal shade. The lid closes securely and would not come off in your bag.

The liner is very creamy and matte and goes on smoothly over the lips without any tugging or pulling. I love this liner. The staying power is just awesome and pigmentation too. It stays on and on. When using it under the lipstick, it brightens up the color of the lipstick and extends its staying power too by a couple of hours. It prevents feathering and the color stays within the lip boundary.

The pencil goes on smoothly on my lips and sets within a couple of minutes. I have worn the lip liner on its own as well. It stays well and transfers minimally. I have tested it for 8-9 hours maximum, but I am sure it would stay past that as well. It stays through snacks and any cold drinks, but with heavy meals and hot coffee (or any other hot drink) it does fade a bit from the centre of the lips.

The lip liner is waterproof as well, but comes off easily with a lip makeup remover. Though the liner is creamy and though it contains jojoba oil and cottonseed oil, it is not very hydrating or moisturizing, but then it does not dry out the lips either. After a couple of hours, my dry lips do need a lip balm. It does make a great base for lipsticks though.

It sharpens better than the Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil. As the pencil is very soft, it does need sharpening after a couple of uses, but the tip doesn’t break while sharpening. I guess that is because I do not aim for a pointed tip while sharpening as I don’t just line my lips, but fill them too, so a very sharp tip is not needed. But slight wastage is there for sure while sharpening.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil – Catfight?

It does stay well on lips and I might purchase it in some other shade. If you are looking for a lip pencil with awesome staying power, you can pick this one.
