Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lightly Scented Non-Greasy Lotion Review

As winter starts approaching, the skin relieving lotions and pampering lip balms occupy a major space on the vanity table. Yes, I am also one of the hoarders of lotions and lip balms. Recently I picked up 2 lotions from Vaseline because my skin turns really dry and dull during winter. Scroll down to know how this non-greasy lotion performed for me.

My Experience with Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lightly Scented Non-Greasy Lotion:

At first when I got this Vaseline bottle, I thought that this is not going to be available in India, but soon when I saw some ads, I realised that these new products are finally available in India. There were 3 to 4 variants, but I preferred picking up the ones for dry skin since the weather has almost changed and now winters have finally come. I got the medium size; there is a small size available which is great for travels and the big pump bottle which is a steal deal if you aim to use this for long.

The bottle comes in a pure white colour with blue and purple fonts which look very calm, serene and attractive without any doubt. It has all its benefits written at the back of the bottle. The cap is a flip open one which causes no harm to my long nails. 😛 The fragrance, as claimed, is very light, mild and soothing. It has a touch of aloe vera to it blended with a typical body lotion smell which makes it pretty pleasing to sniff. I can only smell it when I am massaging it on my skin and then it pretty much fades away. Later on, I can only sniff I if I smell my skin very closely. Looking at that property, I think it is a very good option for those who like fragrance-free lotions.

The consistency of this lotion is super thick as compared to other variants from this range, meaning that this is the best option for dry skin. It comes in white colour and takes a while to be massaged into the skin due to its thickness. It gets absorbed in like 1 minute, but I like that 1 minute because I can give a good massage to my skin. It gets absorbed nicely without leaving any greasy cast behind which makes a great point. But the consistency is a little heavy, so if excess if applied, then it has the potential to make the skin greasy. Also, it might make the skin greasy during summers and if you have oily skin, even during winter. Go for a lighter version which might not be this thick and heavy, if that’s your concern.

Also it does not contain any SPF which is why I would restrict its usage either to winter or bedtime. My skin feels instantly hydrated with their jelly content and it feels very soft and smooth. My skin looks bright after using this. They claim to smooth out dry skin in just 5 days which sounded pretty surprising when I read it, but yes, I have to say it does work the way they claim. I could see a lot of improvement in my dry skin within a week’s time. So if you have dry skin, then this is something you shouldn’t miss out.

• The formula is thick and super rich which perfectly treats dry and parched skin
• Gets absorbed quickly into the skin and does not make my skin oily or greasy
• The jelly content gives an instant boost of hydration to my dry skin
• It makes my skin appear very healthy, soft and supple
• Yes, it brought about a difference in my skin texture within 5 days, like it claimed

Cons of Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lightly Scented Non-Greasy Lotion:

• No SPF
• It might prove to be a little heavy or sticky for oily skin, especially during summer
• It might turn out to be a little greasy if the lotion is applied in excess and not massaged efficiently
• All the variants work in a similar way, so this is nothing special; just a treat to the dry skin

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lightly Scented Non-Greasy Lotion?
Yes I might get this or some other variant from Vaseline, but I feel that products in this range are very similar.
