Hi girls!
Long time no see! I was touring for a few days, but I kept checking IMBB every now and then! Feels good to be back with a review. Today I will be reviewing Vega Retractable Powder Brush, which I had added to my cart to avail free shipping during online shopping. Read on to know my views on it.

Vega Retractable Powder Brush Review

Price: Rs. 225

Product Description:
Powder brush with pure natural bristles for applying loose Powder. Vega powder brush is a hand-crafted 100% natural bristle brush that is perfectly shaped to apply loose setting powder. The sculpted brush head allows for a more precise placement to individual areas when needed. It is an ideal product to carry in the purse.

My Experience with Vega Retractable Powder Brush:

Packaging: I have not used retractable brushes before, so I was excited to try it out. The brush is lightweight with a thick handle, which you can rotate to reveal the brush. The casing is in golden plastic, with a ring, and Vega printed on it. Thankfully, the mechanism works fine. Travel safe I would add.

golden packaging

Firstly, let me tell you I had zero expectations about the quality of the brush. I was simply excited to try the retractable version, but in general Vega brushes aren’t particularly very great.

The company claims that the bristles are natural, which I doubt. I feel they are synthetic, but it’s easy to wash and clean synthetic ones. The black bristles which are densely packed aren’t the feather-touch variety, and impart a slightly rough sensation. Although I wouldn’t say the brush bristles scratch your skin, but still they do not really feel comfortable.
Coming to the efficiency, it picks up decent amount of the product at one go. I tap off the excess powder, and apply it. Blending is decent and I don’t find streaky finish. However, the base makeup needs to be good, for the proper coverage and setting by the powder.

A few bristles were shed, when I first washed the brush, but the second and third time I didn’t find any. It dried well (left overnight) and there was no change in shape or structure.
It’s a decent brush, but you can surely add a few more bucks and get a better performing brush like Colorbar First Impressions Powder Brush.

Pros of Vega Retractable Powder Brush:

• Travel safe packaging.
• Densely packed bristles pick enough product.
• Does even blending.
• Retains shape after washing.

Cons of Vega Retractable Powder Brush:

• Feels slightly rough against skin.
• Not natural bristles.
• Loses bristles on first wash.

IMBB Rating: 2.5/5
