Verb Hydrating Shampoo Review

Hair Type: oily scalp & dry, frizzy hair

Hello, friends!
How are you doing today? I am here to share about the latest entry from my hair care regimen which seems promising for my weird hair type! As you all know, I am blessed with dry and frizzy hair while my scalp seems super oily and greasy. On top of that, I have medium length thick hair which can easily develop tangles. After my recent show, I was literally beating even Shehnaaz Husain with my frizzy hair; my hubby almost fainted when I opened my bun. 😛 Anyway, I am lucky that I have few good hair care products like this Verb Hydrating Shampoo. Let’s read more about it.

My Experience with Verb Hydrating Shampoo:

The shampoo comes in a semi-opaque plastic sturdy bottle packaging with a flip top cap. It does have a heavenly citrusy smell, much to my liking. I find it pretty travel-friendly as well considering it is made of sturdy plastic and has a cap that locks. I have carried it in my luggage and it has never shown any signs of leakage or spillage.

I love its pearly white texture and the runny consistency which forms some intense foam with water. I usually mix 1 part of shampoo to 3-6 parts of water depending upon the lathering capacity of the shampoo. Since this shampoo forms enough lather with water, I hardly need 3-4 generous drops for my medium length hair. My scalp and hair feel pretty clean and my head feels light after every wash. I also like the fact that I need not follow up with a conditioner every time.

Oh yes, I have a slightly weird hair type which feels a bit puffy and dry the same day. It usually regains the shine/luster the very next day of wash. Hence, I need to wash my hair a day before any event. Otherwise, I need to follow up with a conditioner. However, I am relieved now that I have Verb; it cleanses my scalp & hair without ripping off moisture and luster. My hair feels pretty tamed, frizz-free and shiny. It works even better with oil treated hair as it leaves my hair squeaky clean and soft.

I am not fond of using hair dryers or other styling sprays unless required hence, I cannot claim if the shampoo is suitable for people who use such tools and products. But I did experience bad hair days during my recent show where the MUA teased my hair like anything to make a poof. And, the intensity of those hair sprays, heat tools etc totally scared me. And guess what, at the end of the day, when I opened my super teased poof bun, I did experience puffy hair. But, after combing & a quick wash, my hair retained its natural shine and bounce, luckily. Well, the credit goes to my Tangle Teezer and this shampoo.

I am also impressed to see that the shampoo helps to maintain the shine, softness, and frizz-free look until next wash. I need not wash my hair as frequently with this shampoo. In fact, it provides a real silky texture and black shine to my hair. I am sure that it helps color-treated hair in sustaining the color & texture as my hubby used this shampoo and he is completely happy with it. I feel the shampoo is promising for every hair type, even for beauties with oily hair.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Verb Hydrating Shampoo:

• A decently hydrating and mild shampoo
• Suitable for oily, greasy scalp
• Delivers intense shine, luster, and volume
• Does not weigh down or cause hair breakage
• Hair feels better
• Takes care of flyaways and frizz
• A conditioner isn’t mandatory after this shampoo
• Suitable for color treated hair
• Delivers shine, volume, and bounce
• Gets rinsed off easily
• Quite budget friendly & travel-friendly

Cons of Verb Hydrating Shampoo:

• Has a long list of chemicals
• Tricky for dry scalp

Well, none of the cons are significant to me and I am keen to continue with this shampoo for my future shows and events.
