My Experience with Vichy Dercos Energizing Anti Hair Loss Shampoo:

The Vichy Anti Hair Loss shampoo is a white, creamy textured shampoo with normal consistency. It doesn’t look anything different from the normal everyday shampoo, but looks can be deceptive sometimes, right? The Vichy SA advised me to use this shampoo thrice a week for best results. She also told me that the results could be visible with the first wash! Well, I didn’t actually get the desired result in one wash. I use it thrice a week and for the rest of the days, I use my normal shampoo and conditioner. Since, this shampoo is expensive, I don’t apply oil on the hair a day before using this shampoo as that would require more quantity of the shampoo.  Hence, I clean my hair a day before using this shampoo. The shampoo lathers well and even cleanses the hair well. It does not dry out or weigh down my hair. Hair breakage does occur while washing, but that’s normal.

Vichy Dercos Shampoo

The results after around 1.5 months of usage are not that great. I kind of expected that my hair fall would stop altogether, but I think I will need to keep on using this shampoo for another few months to get more desired results. As of now, what I have experienced is about 20% less hair fall. Earlier, I used to get a bunch of hair in my wide-toothed comb and my hair band was always full of hair at any point of time. I have observed change in that scenario, very few strands/almost no hair in the hair band and comb now.

Pros of Vichy Dercos Energizing Anti Hair Loss Shampoo:

  • Helps in controlling hair fall to a limited extent.
  • Fragrance is good.
  • Lathers well.
  • Cleanses hair well.
  • Does not dry out or weigh down hair.

Cons of Vichy Dercos Energizing Anti Hair Loss Shampoo:

  • Price, very expensive for the given quantity.
  • One would have to use it for months for the results to show.
  • It doesn’t work alone. Following a good diet is also necessary, or else anything that you try will fail.

Would I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Vichy Dercos Energizing Anti Hair Loss Shampoo?

I am happy with the slow and steady progress that I am experiencing with my hair fall problem. I am not sure if I will get drastic results in a few months, but I am willing to take that chance.

Visha I am experiencing terrible hairfall and dandruff too.. on medication at the moment… some supplemenents ( calcium, iron and folic acid ) + some scalp solutions.. My hairfall has come down to a great extent inspite of not being very regular with the medicines. :)
