Vichy Purete Thermale Purifying Foaming Water Review

Hi pretties,

Two weeks back, I was in Chennai for an engagement and realised that I wasn’t carrying my face wash. I ran up to a nearby drug store and picked up Vichy Purete Thermale Purifying Foaming Water solely because it mentioned thermal spa water(like I knew what it meant, huh).

My Experience with Vichy Purete Thermale Purifying Foaming Water:

I have combination skin with a shiny t-zone and dry cheeks which tends to dry a little more during winters. My skin is also prone to breakouts due to hormonal changes. This foaming water comes in an attractive transparent pink bottle. It has a white pump head to dispense the foam and the packaging is overall very sturdy and travel friendly.

The cleanser is clear liquid and on pumping out comes out as thick foam. I slightly wet my face and apply this foam on my face, massage it for a few seconds and wash it off. Two pumps are sufficient for my face and neck and the foam produced doesn’t die off immediately.

The cleanser has a mild scent to it, which I love. I have smelled something similar earlier, but unable to recollect what it was. I have used foam cleansers in the past, but felt like they just sat on my skin. But, with this foam, it feels like it gets right down into the pores and gives them good scrubbing. After rinsing with water, skin feels absolutely clean, refreshed, soft and radiant as it is very light weight. Initially, I loved this face wash as I felt it cleaned effectively without over drying my skin.

But, with continuous usage, however, it is a little drying on my sensitive skin; probably due to the sodium laureth sulphate. It gives a squeaky clean feel and when I slide my finger on the skin, I can hear the squeaky sound which is not good for the skin. If your face wash is doing that, it means it is stripping off the natural oils from the skin which isn’t good for your skin at all. If you have very sensitive skin, it may not be quite gentle enough.
