“A woman’s perfume tells us more about her than her hand-writing”, who would not agree to this? Women love to splurge on fragrances and everyone wear perfumes according to their personality. I do the same, but I get bored of a fragrance very quickly. So, I keep adding new ones to my fragrance collection. Being a VS fan, I splurged on one more mist from them. I have always been into sweet fragrances, but this time I picked something citrusy as I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. Read on to know more about this citrusy beauty.

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Citrus Lemon Escape Fragrance Mist:

The VS fragrance mist range is something that I cannot live without. So, I keep trying something or the other from these breathtaking alluring scents. Talking about the packaging, you know how attractive and colourful these bottles look. But, this one is more towards the sophisticated side, as it does not look that feminine. This mist comes in their signature style bottle, which looks like a flower vase. It has a shimmery gold cap that complements the bottle very nicely and adds spice to the elegant packaging. It is super handy and great to carry around, these are my best friends, when I go out.

I always love smelling good and these help me a lot, while I am travelling. The mist is yellow in colour, which resembles the lemon, sugar and citrusy blend. I got this one to bring a change in my fragrance collection, as I had very few citrusy fragrances.

It calls itself a blend of “Lemon, sugar and coconut” and I went to heaven the moment I sniffed it. This is by far one citrus fragrance that I have liked. It opens up with a sweet lemony fragrance that smells like fresh lemons, but the sourness of the lemon is replaced with the sweetness of sugar and coconut. It is not exactly a crisp citrus fragrance but more of a feminine one with sweetness added to it.

When it settles down, I can smell tutti frutti and it reminds me of ice creams and candies, which we use to live on in our childhood. But, people who do not like extremely sweet smells will not be comfortable with this one. Also, if you do not adore coconut fragrance this one is not for you, because the base notes are just coconuts.

It lasts on me for around 3-4 hours on my skin and around 5 hours on my clothes. The VS fragrances always last more on the clothes rather than the skin. Towards the end, it turns into a creamy tropical coconut smell with hints of lemon sugar. The sillage is powerful at the beginning, but vanishes after an hour. Still, you would always be smelling of lemon candies, so no worries.

I feel, it is a fragrance designed only for day wear because it is very fresh and clean. It would smell very light for night time. It is a fun, fresh, bubbly, care free and feminine fragrance and reveals my personality in a way I feel.

It is apt for all age groups, be it youngsters or the mature ladies. This is totally perfect for someone who loves sweet fragrances. But, women who do not love sweet fragrances or coconuts will surely like to stay away from it. It is a proper mixed bag. Either you will love it or hate it.

• Stays for a good time of 3-4 hours on my skin and even more on the clothes.
• Sillage is powerful at the start but vanishes after a while because the scent is not that overpowering.
• Never feels dull because the fragrance is so fresh that it always keeps you fresh and awakened.

• It is a burst of sweetness, hence people who like mature scents will not like this.
• Not everyone’s cup of tea.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Citrus Lemon Escape Fragrance Mist?
I liked this fragrance a lot as it brings a change in my fragrance collection. But, I would not come back to it because I am not a die hard fan of it. I would recommend it only to citrus lovers, who like sweet smell because if you like it, you will start loving it. But if not, this will just be lying in your closet.

VS is the best brand if you want to experiment with different fragrances. I always fall short of words, when I sniff them. They are my best buddies and I could not have imagined my life without these.
