VLCC Watermelon & Bergamot Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash

Hello girls

Today, I am going to review one of my Holy Grail products- the VLCC watermelon and bergamot gentle exfoliating face wash. See I love fruits…Be it eating them or putting them on my face. So whenever I see any products from reputed brands with exotic fruits in the ingredients, I tend to pick them up. And personally watermelon is my favorite :P  but they have some amazing face washes in this range for all skin types. I have been using this product for about a month and I am truly addicted to it. I hope you all find it useful.

Quantity:

175 ml

VLCC Watermelon bergamot Gentle exfoliating Facewash.

Price:

Rs. 195

Shelf life:

36 months

Key Ingredients:

Watermelon seeds, bergamot oil, aloe Vera extract and lemon peel powder.

Product description:

VLCC Watermelon bergamot Gentle exfoliating Facewash. 2

This face wash comes in a white tube with a silver flip-open cap. The description written on the front says that it deep cleans pores and removes blackheads. This is suitable for all skin types. The packaging is so cute that when you see it on your stand, you will feel like washing your face with it.

What the company claims:

Formulated for daily use, this soap free gentle exfoliating face wash cleanses and purifies skin to leave it soft and refreshed. Finely crushed watermelon seed granules remove dead skin cells, deep clean pores and prevent formation of black/white heads while stimulating fresh cell growth. Bergamot extract keeps skin free of germs and problem causing bacteria to give a perfectly cleansed, smooth and problem-free skin.

How to use:

Dampen face and neck, then massage all over. Rinse off and pat dry.

My take on VLCC Watermelon & Bergamot Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash:

This face wash is a very important part of my CTM routine every night when I return from work. First, I remove all my makeup with the Fabindia lavender cleanser, and then I wash my face with this face wash. The Fabindia lavender toner comes next and then any moisturizing cream. This face wash removes any traces of makeup which are left and leaves my face squeaky clean and super glowing. There are small granules which gently scrub away all the dirt and clean the skin thoroughly. A small pea sized amount is enough for one face wash which makes it even more worthy. The only thing which I am not sure about is the blackheads claim, because I don’t have many blackheads so I don’t know if it will work on them effectively. But when it comes to cleaning your skin and removing the whole day’s dirt and grime and pollution…this face wash lives up to its claim.

Pros of VLCC Watermelon & Bergamot Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash:

1) Cleans very effectively and removes all dirt and traces of makeup left.
2) Leaves the skin super glowing and gently exfoliated, so ideal for daily use.
3) Gives a feeling of freshness after use and a cooling effect on skin which is what I want after a hard day at work :P
4) Smells amazing.
5) Easy to use and travel- friendly.
6) Good quantity( I have been using this every day for a month now and still more than half the tube is left).

Cons of VLCC Watermelon & Bergamot Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash:

1) The price is on a higher side for a face wash but as I said the quantity is worth it.
2) The blackheads claim is what I am not sure of because I don’t have many blackheads.
3) All the ingredients are not mentioned.

Will I buy VLCC Watermelon & Bergamot Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash again?

Yes. I have finally found an amazing gentle face wash after so long so for now…i am going to stick to this.:) I will try the other face washes in this range like cacti and litchi, mandarin and tomato, alpine mint and tea tree…They all sound tempting.

Good that the product worked for you. :) I am using witch hazel and rose water one from this range. It’s okey-dokey for me. Nothing much to right home about.

Hi Mily,

I purchased this face wash last week, and girl… Am i glad that i did !!! :D

Having tested all possible candidates for combination skin, this was more of an impulse purchase (I was so tired of the clean and clear range). But this really paid me off !!

It leaves the skin clean, without any traces of dryness or stretchiness. Also, it gives me a pretty good cooling sensation every time i use it. I personally think that the watermelon working.

Thanks for the review Mily…
