With all the hoopla around Argan oil being the next best thing, I had wanted to get my hands on a concoction forever. However, most of the formulations were just too expensive because of this rare nature of this oil. I bring to you today a pocket-friendly solution that can be delivered right to your doorsteps! Let the review begin!
This ‘miracle concentrate’ comes in a small plastic bottle with a pink screw top dropper cap. The dropper is a brilliant function with you controlling exactly how much you need according to your hair length and thickness. Oils don’t go with pumps at all, that just makes them splish splash everywhere! This is a leave-in treatment for your hair and the bottle says “Restorative power of an Elixir in its most potent form”. Restorative indeed! You can also peel back the label for directions, top tips and the ingredients. This product almost reminds me of the popular Indian product Livon but without the slippery feeling Livon gives you with a better smell!

My experience with the VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil
Argan Oil is used in Morocco like Parachute is in India. Except it is a rare expensive oil and I didn’t immediately jump on this bandwagon when the hype started. Only till I encountered this budget-friendly option. The best thing about this bottle is that its plastic so I absolutely do not have to worry about dropping and breaking this. I am also super thankful for this dropper, but only when the bottle is fairly full because it is not long enough to go all the way to pick up the oil from the bottom of the container. When you reach the end of the bottle you have to try several tilting manoeuvres and finally just pour it out and try not to waste. I know this well because I’m on my 2nd bottle now!
All of this aside, this is a fantastic product that you can use on dry or wet hair. I have fairly thin hair and it has been a miracle for me so I can only imagine how amazingly it would work for someone with thicker curlier hair. I also can imagine that this will be very restorative for people that colour their hair regularly. The first thing you notice about this product is the lovely soft fragrance it has, nothing overpowering though. It is a very pleasant floral smell to experience. I have used this product on my dry hair to tame my frizz-o-mania successfully. Seriously my hair is like a circus clown on humid mornings. It even helps to smooth the baby hair on my forehead hairline when I make a tight bun. An application on dry hair makes it very shiny and smooth. Whether used on dry or wet hair, it doesn’t weigh down my hair at all. You can for all these benefits use any cold pressed Argan Oil if you find an affordable and undiluted one but that will always leave your hair greasy but this is unlike that. It has a very non-greasy texture as you can immediately notice both in your hair and on your hands.
When I use this product on wet or damp hair, I’ve noticed that I don’t need to straighten my hair afterwards. It doesn’t make it poker straight but it definitely makes it more manageable. As in my circus clown look tames down to a more human look, but I am not converted into Piggy Chops sashaying my hair around as I do kung fu in a shampoo ad. I feel like my dry and split ends are also protected if I use this on wet hair and blow dry afterwards. This honestly makes your hair so soft and glisten-y, this stuff is absolute magic.

- Nourishes, repairs and smoothens all kinds of hair.
Cons of VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil:
- Not a long enough dropper
- It contains Silicone products which aren’t yet proved to be harmful for humans but do accumulate in the environment to harm fish and flora in our oceans.So if you’re a green-friendly person then this isn’t for you.
Would I repurchase or recommend the VO5 miracle concentrate?
Yes to both! I’m on my second bottle myself and with the Indian summer approaching , this is a must try! With the control it provides on split ends, you’ll forget that rough feeling they give. I don’t know how it works to restore them and maybe stop them from getting worse, but for me this has been a godsend.

I see everyone raving about Argan oil, but for some reason, Argan oil and products with Argan oil give me terrible hair fall and split ends. 🙁
Aww, that’s too bad! I know some people that are allergic to it as well… But it shouldn’t give you hair fall unless you apply it to your scalp and I’m not sure if that’s recommended. Also like I see a lot of women rub products into the ends of their hair, that’s a big cause for split ends or at least aggravating them, so if you try the scrunch and ball approach that might help a bit?

Hi Ladies, Thanks for the tips, I have recently tried the argan oil Method, I did it for a month and half and my skin was always greasy after washing. This VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil looks great, i will try this one next time. Thanks!
