Watsons Charcoal Nose Pore Strips Review

Skin Type- Combination to Oily; Sensitive Skin – No

Today, I am reviewing a set of charcoal nose strips from Watsons which claims to have the power of charcoal and the goodness of witch hazel. I was more excited about these strips compared to the “deep cleansing” ones that I had tried earlier as these come with the benefit of charcoal. Read on for more details on this product.

My Experience with Watsons Charcoal Nose Pore Strips:

The packaging is simple, cute and very handy. The box is green in color and the other variants have different colors. The details about the product are mentioned at the back of the box. Inside the box, there are 10 individual sachets which make the packaging all the more hygienic, practical and travel friendly.

The sachets open up to a transparent plastic piece on which the black colored strip has been placed. It might look flimsy but I feel that is how a nose strip should be, there is nothing much to expect from the way it looks. The strip has to be taken off the plastic sheet and applied on the nose as you usually do with normal nose strips. There is a typical alcohol smell to it initially, but it vanishes in a while. There is a black layer left behind after removing the strip, which washes off easily with plain water.

Coming to the effectiveness of the product, I have to say I am quite disappointed. It did not remove blackheads, just left the area sensitive and red. There was an itching sensation going on for an hour or so after I removed the strip which is again a con. It took away the excess oil but nothing more than that. If I have to remove oil, I would opt for a blotting sheet, why take the pain of applying a nose strip? I would give it a pass, but thankfully, the price is low, so it didn’t pinch the pocket.

Pros of Watsons Charcoal Nose Pore Strips:

  • Handy packaging.
  • Affordable.
  • Controls oil for some time.
  • Variants available.

Cons of Watsons Charcoal Nose Pore Strips:

  • Not effective.
  • Sticky black layer stays back.
  • Causes itchiness.
  • Leaves skin red and sensitive.
