Wella Pro Series Shine Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Wella Pro Series Shine Shampoo and Conditioner

Hello everyone.

Today I will be doing a review on a shampoo and conditioner from Wella which I bought from Kuwait. I normally never use a conditioner after shampooing my hair as the conditioner weighs down my extremely oily hair. But my sister uses the conditioner hence I bought it. Let’s see if this was a success product for me.

Wella Pro Series ShineShampoo and Conditioner

Price and quantity: Shampoo- KD 1.445 (approx INR 300) for 500ml
Conditioner- KD 1.615 (approx INR 350) for 500ml

My experience with Wella Pro Series Shine Shampoo and Conditioner:

Both the products comes in a rectangular plastic bottle with a flip open cap which is tight and hence no spilling. However I won’t recommend to carry them while travelling because of bulky size.

The texture of the shampoo is not too thick nor too runny and it has a slight floral note to it. The conditioner is thick and not at all runny. However it has an obnoxious smell probably of the chemicals.

The first time I used the shampoo alone and did not apply the conditioner as always. I then air dried my hair. After my hair was fully dry I was flabbergasted to see my roots all lifted up and get double the volume of hair I had. Even though I got so much volume my hair looked so lifeless and dead. Yes my hair looked like a birds nest. It felt soft but looked really rough. My spit ends was really visible and no shine was seen as it claimed.

The next day I used the shampoo and then applied the conditioner all over my hair except the roots, air dried my hair and eagerly waited to see the results. And guess what I was smiling like a 100W bulb. My roots were lifted and my hair had enough shine and it looked really healthy, it really looked as if I had a hair spa. I loved the result. I was amazed to see the volume it gave minus the birds nest. I have very thin hair and I have used all sort of volume shampoo but they haven’t provided me the volume like this one.

Pros of Wella Pro Series Shine Shampoo and Conditioner:

• True to its claims.
• Gives an amazing volume with shine.
• No hair falls seen. I have been using this daily for the past 3 weeks.
• Lathers really well.
• Leaves a faint floral fragrance on your hair.
• Huge quantity for the price.

Cons of Wella Pro Series Shine Shampoo and Conditioner:

• The conditioner smells awful.
• Contains SLS.
• Might be a bit too drying for dry to normal hair beauties.
• Availability in India is a doubt.
• Never use the shampoo alone as you will be horrified with the bird’s nest you have on your head.
• Did not find a bottle with smaller quantity for travel purpose.

Will I purchase it again?

Absolutely!!! Actually I bought a backup yesterday.

Do I recommend Wella Pro Series Shine Shampoo and Conditioner?

If you have oily hair like me and are looking for a shampoo that can do magic for your hair then please do try this. But I would ask the dry to normal hair beauties to first oil their hair and use this else it might be a bit drying for you.
